I'll have an auction close, checkout and payment completed, and item shipped. THEN another WBN is sent a couple days later. Why is this happening? My customers are confused by this.
I have had this happen a couple times now and I wonder why it's happening, and if there is anything I can do about it. Any ideas?
I do have the global preference set for automatic WBNs if this makes a difference.
Thanks for any help!
Stephanie

Hello,

For these auctions, what steps do you have checked off in post sale? In order for the WBN reminder to go out, Step 1 (WBN sent) would need to be checked and no further post sale processes have been completed. If either Step 2 (checkout completed), Step 3 (payment received) or Step 5 (item shipped) has been checked, the WBN reminder will not be sent.

If this doesn't apply please provide us with some item numbers to look at.

Regards,

Sonya

These aren't WBN Reminders they are the initial WBNs, but they are being sent 2 days after the item has been paid for. My latest example is item # 6914785579. In this case the eBay Store item was purchased on Aug 1, checkout completed and was paid for the same day. Shipped on Aug 2. Boxes 2,3,5,&7 were checked off. Then an initial WBN was sent at Aug 3 @ 12:18. I believe they completed Checkout before the original WBN was sent on the 1st of August.

Like I said this isn't the reminder WBN it is the one that is sent out when the auction first closes, but it is coming 2 days after the item has been paid for. This has happened a ocuple times.

Any help is appreciated!!!
Stephanie

Hi Stephanie,

Have you been editing this item? Steps 1, 2 and 3 are the only ones checked off at this time.

Do you have any other examples we can look at?

Regards,

Sonya

No - I haven't edited it. That item number is from an eBay store listing with multiple items which has had a 3 purchases. The one purchase I am talking about was made on Aug 1st at 19:14. I think the one you looked at was one from today (8/3) at 12:10.

Another item was 6914950194. The item was purchased 7/25. Checkout and payment was completed on 7/25, and it shipped on 7/26. Then the initial WBN was sent mysteriously on 7/30. Boxes 2,3,5 & 7 were checked off. I think they completed checkout and paid before the WBN could be sent on the 25th as well. This is also an eBay store multi item listing. But this has been the only purchase. It now has Box 1 checked off - I believe because the WBN was sent on the 30th.

Again - Thanks for looking into this!

Hello,

Thank you for the other example. This behavior is strange so we will need to look into this further. Is this only happening with your fixed price items? Or has it happened with actual auctions as well?

Sonya

This happened again this morning with item # 6914786393. Only the WBN was sent 1 day after the payment was made. The purchase was made 8/3 at 21:01, payment and checkout was done aprox 21:08, I marked as shipped this morning 8/4 around 7ish?. Boxes 2,3, & 7 were checked. Then the initial WBN was automatically sent today 8/4 at 9:02.

Thanks again for any help on this, it is very confusing!
Stephanie

Our message crossed in cyber space. Yes it seems to only happen with fixed price auctions from my eBay store (at least so far anyway).

This is still happening to me, but now it is more frequent. With every store item I sell, if the customer goes right to Checkout and pays immediately, a WBN will be sent anyway at some point later (anywhere from an hour to a couple days after they pay). I've tried to manually check off WBN if I see a customer who pays immediately so that it doesn't happen, but I can't always catch it in time (I don't stare at my computer all day - this is why I wanted to use Vendio). This is very confusing to my customers. Is there anything that can be done about this?????
