All or most of my auctions tonight have ERRORED. This is the first new ones I've listed since some of the changes in the image hosting have taken place. I'm getting an error message about suspending my account on eBay!! What the heck is going on???? Please look into this ASAP!

Here's the exact wording:

Access Failed. It appears that the eBay userid stored on this Vendio account is invalid or suspended. We have temporarily suspended eBay access for this account. Access will automatically resume one hour after the time of this error.

I checked the info I have stored on Vendio and there is nothing wrong there. What is going on? I'm very upset about this.

So only 9 out of about 45 auctions launched successfully. Most of those were from photos I already had from previous auctions. I don't know if that had anything to do with it. My Vendio info is correct as is my eBay information. This is extremely upsetting as Saturday is generally my post profitable day. Is anyone there????

I just got all my auctions to launch, but I would like this issue to still be addressed. I don't know if it was a Vendio or eBay problem, but it was one of the worst error messages I've ever dealt with. I mean, at times I could not even go back in and preview the auctions, and I certainly do not like the idea that eBay is not recognizing my user ID. I have sent a message through the Help Center and, of course, here, and I would appreciate this issue being looked into. Also at the same time, closed auctions were not moving over and thus no emails to my buyers were being sent. I had to refresh for the info to finally move over.

Unfortunately, we can't fix or prevent these types of errors. If they eBay server returns this error, we can't fix anything on our end to change it.

livelycharms- I looked at your account and it looks like you're trying to relaunch the items today...? I didn't see the errors in your pending list.
Best Regards,

Hi, Darin:

The response that there's nothing you can do on your end appears to fall short of what I would expect from Vendio. If this is an error on the eBay side, I would expect that Vendio could be in contact with eBay and figure out what happened to cause this error so that it doesn't happen in the future. I was able to access different aspects of eBay last night when this was going on, so they clearly recognized by user ID, so it apparently had something to do with a conflict between Vendio and eBay. Please do not drop this without further investigation.

Hi Toyspast,

I believe Darin meant that there wasn't any specific technical action (silver bullet) that could be done in advance to prevent the errors from occurring. The feedback, however, does lead to continual improvement measures.

As per our normal routine, we have completed a technical review of the depth and breadth of this error pattern (approximately 30 users affected), and indeed it was with the Vendio/eBay interface and the related authorization system used to authenticate eBay users.

As always, we will discuss the errors with eBay. We regularly provide this type of feedback to eBay to improve their development platform for the entire community.

We apologize for any inconvenience this error caused and will take appropriate measures to minimize the likelihood it returns.
