Posted in our Announcement update:
As of 1:00 PM on Dec 7, we are seeing lingering intermittent access for some images based upon network latency at our primary ISP. We will be doing some network configuration changes between 2:00 and 3:00 today to enable more efficient re-routing of traffic if our primary service provider exhibits any instability later today. During this time, some images may be intermittent, but the change are intended to enable better performance during the peak traffic later this evening. Please note that these changes and intermittent access are related only to the serving of your images, and their safe storage remains unaffected. We will continue to keep you informed of our progress as we continue to monitor it.
Best regards,
Diana

This being THE PEAK selling buying period it makes NO SENSE that VD would not have this worked out in say....July?
Everyone who had an auction running or ending that uses VD on the days that the images were OUT should be refunded that month's hosting fee. Immediately.
Stupid. Utterly stupid and incompetent and definately NOT something I want to continue to PAY good money for.

Hi everybody,
Our reconfiguration efforts have improved performance through the network and all images and pages should be serving normally at this time. We may test additional configuration enhancements in the future, but will provide earlier notice if we need to do so.
Thank you for your patience.
glassgrl, we respect your opinion, but unfortunately we are just not able to forsee every possible scenario that can cause problems during times of peak system usage. We do our best though. Thank you for choosing Vendio for your image hosting needs.
Best regards,
Diana

Thank you for what you have done. I once again have both pictures in my auctions and a gallery with pictures! Hopefully you will implement what ever it is that might need to be done to try and keep this from happening again in the near future. I really do like your service but I also really need my auctions to have pictures and a gallery. Thank you once again.

network configuration changes
reconfiguration efforts have improved performance
additional configuration enhancements
Dear Diana, I know, it's not your fault your just in the Peter Principal line.
However, this "double speak" above doesn't cut it.
These enhancements should of been done in another month besides December. I think it's safe to say that VD has been around long enough that they know there is a tremendous demand for their service (and I will use that term loosely for the moment) in December. It's not failed yet in all the years I've been with VD.
1....the enhancements should be scheduled in advance and not announce after the fact about intermittent {cough cough} enhancements.
2.....I personally would like to see a refund for myself of this ehanced service for this month, since it's the first time in a year that I have hosted auctions and had them all ending TODAY and had pics off and on. Thanks a lot for nothing. Because who knows what my ending bid prices would of been if they could of seen the pictures in the auction.
Pass that on up on the line would you?

As of 1:00 PM on Dec 7, you will be seeing lingering intermittent access for my Credit Card payment. I will be doing some banking configuration changes between December 1 and December 30. During this time, some payments may be intermittent. Please note that these changes and intermittent payments are related only to the serving of your account, and my personal banking balance remains unaffected.

LOL on the banking!!
Anyway, what was the issue during the night last night - I am not seeing any Vendio responses on that - but am seeing emails in my inbox and forums on the ebay powerseller chat.
We need to get this fixed - if you have grown - congrats - but if you can't handle it - it is no good for anyone.
Please let's get it together and get it taken care of now!!!

For anyone who is having difficulty accessing vendio.com [or for those who are helping others who can't post here], if possible, please run this traceroute program on those problem systems to examine the actual network route between your desktop and vendio.com
On windows: Start -> Run... [then type in 'cmd'] in the 'Open' box. A black command window should open. Then in the window run the traceroute program like this:
tracert -d 66.7.130.1
The output of the program will show the path between your desktop and vendio. You can copy this output into replies to help us isolate any lingering issues.
To copy the text from that cmd window, select the text with your mouse then position the mouse into the title bar of the cmd window and click on the right mouse button, then click on 'Edit->Copy'.
Here is an example output:
Tracing route to 66.7.130.1 over a maximum of 30 hops

2 <10 ms <10 ms <10 ms 67.119.114.30

13 20 ms 20 ms 20 ms 66.7.130.1

The output will help us determine if (and more importantly where) a problem may exist.

Hi there,
Thank you for posting your tracert results. It looks like things have stabilized, and you should not be having trouble accessing our website or viewing images at this time. kevinatgrannys, please try clearing your browser cache and/or rebooting your computer and reconnecting to the internet. The slowness you are reporting may be caused by something else.
Thanks,
