What is happening to the images again!!!
Vendio, please clean up your act, I am tired of my images suddenly disappearing.
This is happening too frequently.
What am I paying you for?

Hi there,
We just got word of some network issues with one of our providers. We are getting more detail on the problem now, and we will post back when we have more information. Thank you for your patience.

Isn't it ironic that this happens, just like the last time, the night before many of us have HUNDREDS of Fixed Price listings ending?? WHat will happen on FLD??? We rely on you at times like this and once again you let us down!

Exactly WHAT does 'having a network problem with one of your providers' have to do with the missing images?
If I can see all my listing except for the images, I don't understand this logic.
Please explain so we all can understand what you are talking about.
This ongoing missing image problem does not help my sales, and it certainly won't help Vendio when I start looking for another service!!

Hello there,
Our network providers provide the bandwidth for images being served - if there is trouble on the network, it will interfere with images data being transferred from our server to your computer.
Please check again, the problem appears to be sporadic. I am able to see images in my account and on listings at this time. We will continue to monitor the problem and will provide updates as we get them.
Thanks, and sorry about that.

I am totally PO'd about this ... Auctions that should have ended up way higher, have ended much lower. I couldn't understand it until I started to read the boards. Vendio, don't give me another $20 credit when I know darn well that JUST ONE AUCTION ENDED UP $20.00 lower than it should have been. I don't want to hear about your ISP problems. Nor do I want to hear about your server problems. I PAY YOU FOR A SERVICE. I have come to RELY ON THAT SERVICE!!! Going back to the "post mortem" thread, if you were gambling with your customers businesses, you should have let us know BEFORE you decided to take the gamble. Give us the CHOICE. Don't gamble and then come back to us with excuses. Don't you realize that gamblers ALWAYS lose it all in the end???????

Here's what I am getting in my email instead of end of auction notices:
Dear neglus,
Can't get your pic to load - tried multiple times. Are you using Vendio for picture hosting? BTW, I have the fastest broadband connection available for residential use.

I have just been reading along this thread because my images are missing AGAIN.....I noticed that it was mentioned that vendio has given refunds to some members,I am guessing because of the image problems we ALL have been having the last few weeks. My question is, do we all need to ask or beg for this? My auctions ended once again this evening with no images and lower closer prices.

Hello everybody,
We are actively working with our provider to evaluate the situation. The problem started at about 6:30 PM and appears to be intermittent, and is interfering with our ability to serve images consistently. We are not certain at this point what has happened, but we will provide more detail as we get it.
We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration, and we're hopeful that this issue will be resolved quickly.
Thanks,
Diana

Vendio should be giving us at least two months of free service from their "gambling" that they decided to partake in WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS' KNOWLEDGE. What annoys me more than anything is that they *think* we are as dumb as stumps and are going to accept their lame excuses! GRRRRRRRRRRR ..........

How could you even measure our losses on a night like tonight? I had lots of watchers and items with single bids ...they all closed with one bid. This doesn't even take in to consideration my 300 FP LISTINGS that are ending tomorrow!
Buyers don't give a hoot about intermittent..they will try once and if there is no image they will move on to the next seller's wares...

Count me in for a refund also. I pay $19.95 a month for no images on my auctions. Crappy bids also. Something doesn't compute.

Merry Christmas!
I could not get into Vendio for over three hours, and none of my pictures were showing up in any of my auctions. This is the busy time of the year!
What refunds is Vendio giving for this?

It's not just the images. It's now 10:17 and this is the first time I have been able to log into Vendio since 6:30 this evening. I have been in email contact with another Vendio user all evening and she can get EO to come up, but not post to it. We keep getting an error message that the browser can't find www.vendio.com or www.auctionwatch.com. The message suggests that the url no longer exists. Your technical problems run much deeper than just a few "intermittant" dropped images. You pay your provider for a service. If they can't perform the service, do what you would do with any incompentent employee..FIRE THEM!!!

I am still having "intermitten" problems.
Vendio store comes and goes. I have emails that customers cannot find it, my link in my auctions to the ebay auctions in my vendio store does not work for them. This is not good.

I've got two accounts here with Vendio and I've gotten nO contact, no credits, just higher bills and lower bids I just got here less than 5 months and I'm already getting ready to jump ship. This is nonsense with the images.

I had 3 auctions end last night all during the Vendio Image Outage which started at 6:30pm Pacific time and lasted about 2 hours until 8:30pm Pacific. All 3 of those auctions ended lower than historical, the port replicator had been ending right around $100 or higher, but last night only sold for $46!!!
The 2 high end video cards both closed ~ $20 less than they should have, especially at this time of year.
I want compensation Vendio.
Let me say that again, Vendio - Hey, I want compensation!
Seriously looking at leaving Vendio now after 3+ years.
Anyone have suggestions on other service providers? Ebay? Auctionwizard2000.com?

We checked our auctions around 6:30 AM - no photos. Images did not return until approximately 3PM this afternoon. We have consignment items on - our consignor was less than happy to check the auctions and be greeted with text only. It is really bad enough when the auctions are our own listings and we suffer our own loss but when we are lising at someone else's expense - the loss is doubled. This consignor has some great items but he has made it very plain that the hosting service we are using is not acceptable to him. We have been loyal to Vendio for 5 years. The product is really not improving - actually the contrary. We are certain that the problem will be blamed on eBay. Our items require a ton of photos and eBay is too costly. But if we lose this consignor - that is costly for us too. Guess we need to start looking too. Between all the issues recently - we need to find something before they launch another Sale Manager Pro version. Anyone remember the last one???

Yeah, it happened again and thankfully my auctions don't end for a few more days. Hey Vendio, do you have any idea on how hard it is to sell diamonds and diamond jewelry without pics? Don't bother answering me because I'll answer it for you.
IMPOSSIBLE!
I'm looking for another service myself. Again I don't care about the cost of a management system as long as it is rock solid stable. You used to have a reputation for that kind of service but I quess that's changed for the worse.
How about a real explanation and one that's detailed for this latest meltdown?

Hi everyone,
In order to avoid problems like we experienced before Christmas, we are in the process of working on some different network configurations that should result in more stability and greater reliability for image hosting. The intermittent image viewing and/or site access being reported by some users may be a side-effect of this. The reconfiguration is not expected to have global impact (ie. only a very small proportion of users will be affected, if any. ) Please be aware that even if you are having trouble viewing images, the majority of your buyers will be able to see them, and any interruption in service will probably not last very long. We don't expect this work to cause major disruption in services, and we expect to have it completed relatively quickly.
We do expect increased reliability in our image hosting service (which is already one of the most reliable services available) as an end result.
Thank you for your patience.
