I just discovered that I have been charged for the 135 mb plan for $19.95 a month when my maximum usage was only 23.77 mb. Vendio, I think this is totally unfair and cheating your customers. I now realize that I have to change this manually which is a giant crock. If you can automatically upgrade the cost, you can automatically downgrade it where applicable. I feel that I have been cheated out of my VERY hard earned money.
Please respond.
I'll reiterate that we would prefer to never alter an individual’s plan selections, and this will remain our general approach. We debated the automatic upgrade exception quite a lot. The only other alternative we could think of would be to fail an upload of a batch of images (either through Pro, online, or the XP Uploader) that would push over an existing storage level and require manual intervention to change plans. That felt pretty unfriendly and cumbersome, as it would be a workflow interruption, so we decided to do these plan changes for only this case. The storage level for the vast majority of customers does not change at all, with upgrades of any type occurring for only a very small percentage of sellers. We’ll continue to monitor this approach, however, to see if any changes should be made.
I am sorry that you missed our precautionary message in the announcement. You can change your image hosting plan at any time under My Account -> My Service Plans.
