Is there a reason why there is no FedEx International shipping option?

I like to use a flat rate for additional auctions/items, but the existing system or the proposed changes do not allow this... I can set a fixed dollar discount for additional items but that only works for one shipping method as the system is now. Would like to set a flat rate for USPS First class, Priority Mail and International... and would then like to set a fixed additional amount to be added for each additional item.

The international shipping options need a place to enter a location. If no location is available, the buyer will inevidably choose the cheapest option, even if they are located in BFE. This results in a huge pain in the #$(*%^%$ It is sort of useless if you cannot designate the location.

I was just checking out the new setup and all looks great. I do not see any place for registered mail though. for coins and other high priced valuables that is the way to go for insurance and security. some of the other carriers may not accept shipments for coins.
please add it to both regular and international sections of the usps.
thanks

Don't like that a buyer has to scroll down on the payment page of the new checkout to see payment choices. It's going to cause confusion to people and possibly cause them to abandon the checkout process. It needs to be above the fold!

Also don't like that the assigned upsell items are again below the fold and a buyer has to scroll to see them. That is a big drawback to the current system. People ask me ALL the time if I sell the exact items I have for upsell after they have completed payment. They don't bother to scroll down and thus they don't see them! I would highly suggest putting the upsell items at the top rather than the bottom.

Took a quick look, and maybe it's just me, but the check-out looked confusing. $6 required/$4 optional?? It's got to be CLEAR and EASY or the buyers just won't do it. I have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm new to using Vendio, but I'm glad to see the improvements. I've experienced my first person upset about the checkout process.

New process looks good. One thing not mentioned is the timing. I'm refering to the lenght of time it takes for the item once bid on, to be ready for checkout. I have had people pay PayPal and say they didn't have time to wait for the checkout to be ready. Any improvements planned for the speediness of checkout?

Hello. I'd stopped using the check out ages ago. I looked over the new format, and think I'll pass. I use a lot of Global Priority which I don't see which means I'll keep adding it in. I also cannot find where the seller markup is located. Possibly it isn't on the preview, but I'd like to know where it is....I stopped due to buyer confusion....One loved it, (honest, only one ever told me that out of many) the rest didn't, or ignored it until I sent an ebay wbn which makes double work.....

I think you should have a tax slot that is blank for us to fill in our information.

I have to collect state sales tax but as well I have to collect city tax for anyone from this city that buys from me as well.

A blank slot would allow us to add our city name and our city tax for those of use who have a city tax that must be collected from our local residents who buy from us.

Thank you for the new update it looks like it will be very helpful.
As we all know E BAY is increasing the fees on all the items sold in our E BAY stores, me personally with high ticket items i will definitely feel the pinch additional 3% fee in final value fee that averages to about $10.00 increase on on every item i sell from my e bay store.
Anywhay i would like to see an option of FREE SHIPPING OFFERED ON ITEMS PURCHASED FROM MY VENDIO STORE I WILL BE PROMOTING MY VENDIO STORE MORE THAN E BAY STORE .
as of now the free shipping option is not available for store items only.
Thnak you.
Mike.

Finally!!! I've been begging you to streamline checkout so buyers don't have to enter their address every time. I agree with the person who said that optional/required things was confusing (I think that was supposed to be for insurance?) But it's a big improvement.

A couple other things... First, I use FedEx and would LOVE to see a fedex calculator. eBay has an exclusive with UPS, so we're not going to see one there. You would probably get a lot of business from other ebay sellers who desperately want a fedex calculator.

NOTE: FedEx changed their insurance rates the beginning of the this year. You are still using the old rates and those are what is shown in your sample. The new insurance table for FedEx is the same as the UPS one.

International: Can't you offer a calculated rate for international? It costs a lot more to ship to Australia than it does to Canada.

I SUGGESTED THIS ABOUT 1.5 YEARS AGO. HOW ABOUT A RADIAL BUTTON WHERE THE BUYER CLICKS INDICATING WHETHER THEIR ADDRESS IS A RESIDENCE OR BUSINESS. IT CAN SAVE A PERSON ANYWHERE FROM A $1.50 TO $4 WHEN USING FEDEx. Thanks

I do like the new look. It is a good step in the right direction.

Just to add my two cents. I would also love FedEx Calculated shipping, and a check box for residential or commercial, that would be wonderful. Been waiting for those options forever.

Also, I noticed that when you selected credit card payment, an option opened up to enter credit card information. Is that just for people who have signed up for on-line credit card processing, or can we collect credit card information from you so that we can process it our selves.

Thanks for a great product.

Some of the improvements are great and definitely needed and overdue. However, it does look like things are a bit confusing? Doesn't seem like I'm the only one who thinks so either. I DO like the fact that International buyers will NOT be able to choose US shipping... it won't be available for them to choose. Many have in the past, simply chose this option, as it was cheapest. BUT, as someone else pointed out... shipping from the USA to X Country is Y dollars... shipping from the USA to Z country may be Y + 3 dollars? Perhaps I didn't look closely enough at what you are proposing? Perhaps I will still have to manually input what shipping to this country or that country will be?? It is partially a good idea, that apparently either needs to be explained better to us, or revamped in some way before implementation.

I like toyspast take on things... $6.00 Required/$4.00 optional??? Confusing for my customers!

The fact that customers can KEEP their information in this system for next time, that is definitely a great idea and a much needed feature. All in all... I think these are great ideas, and perhaps with the feedback you are receiving here, and some work, they will be EXCELLENT IDEAS! Thanks Very Much ... Prt

Here goes blabber-mouth (yes, I need to get a hobby):

I am SO excited about these new enhancements I think I'm going to throw a party for myself tonight, in anticipation/celebration of all the time you guys are going to save me! Thank you, thank you, thank you...Vendio is amazing, and keeps getting better!

Suggestions:

I would like it if the payment options were made clear on the first page of checkout, so buyers don't wonder if they're filling out info. for nothing (i.e. I would expect that those paying by MO would wonder why they're filling things out at all).

Also, I would love it if on the first page there was a hotlink that said something like "What's Vendio? Is it safe?" that explained more about Vendio, its connection to eBay, why sellers use it, etc. I've had a bunch of paranoid buyers lately who have refused to use Vendio's checkout because they suspect it's an elaborate scheme by me to trick them into entering their info. into an unsecure site. I had one guy who said part of checkout violated Paypal's Privacy Act! They might also wonder if they're being directed to the REAL Paypal at the end, so a link like this might ease the minds of some of the crazies.

I agree that adding a FedEx calculator is a big one, and the radio button for "residence" vs. "business" address is a fantastic idea.

Will CALCULATED international shipping be offered? If it can't, can I suggest the ability to enter TWO separate FLAT international rates? One for Canada, and one for "All Other Countries," since the cost differences for these are huge?

The "optional" vs. "required" insurance area confused me too. I finally figured it out, but there's no way my buyers will. Maybe it would be clearer if the insurance options were listed in the same rows as their corresponding items (in the area where it shows the unclickable "optional" & "required" Or if the item names were repeated at the bottom, next to the insurance options.

My last suggestion is that it would be AWESOME if next to the shipping options, it showed the estimated delivery times. I have many buyers who intentionally select Parcel Post because it's cheaper, then complain that it's been 8 days and their item still hasn't arrived. Even if it's not possible to show the estimated times for SPECIFIC locations, showing the broad "Parcel Post (estimated 3-10 days)" or "Priority (estimated 2-3 days)" or whatever the time frames are for other carriers would be SO helpful!

QUESTION: Where did the $5 credit come from on the "Review Order" screen of the sample checkout walk-thru? Did I miss something?

It's about time and I welcome some of the changes. long overdue. But! I don't see where I can offer International and Canada USPS calculated options. This would be a godsend. I like to use them rather than other carriers. Best 'luck' with them. Anyway, I would strongly suggest this option if not already included. I've read the thread too and I can back up the 'confusion' comments. I know you guys and gals work hard. Keep taking our complaints and suggetions. Thanks!

regarding not being able to post an international amount actually if you check
the usps for rates you will find the rates to be much the same for some same countries.

In the blank areas of the shipping info you could put a check a price and type canada knowing your item weighs say 3 pounds look up the rate on the usps chart.

For Europe, Germany, and UK the rates are pretty much the same or all the same on most items so you could fill that in check put the amount type in the countries.

Hi, it looks okay so far, not many of my customer use the vendio check-out, I don't know why, they don't give a feedback. Regarding all the nice shipping options: I use OFTEN global priority mail to Canada and to the World (two different fees, since Canada is next door it is cheaper), BUT I STILL have to type the global priority in. Most of the seller use postal service, since it is still the cheapest way to ship, these options should be there: - Global Priority - Canada & Global Priority - World, as long as postal service is offering it. THANKS A LOT, would be really appreciated!!!!

Don't make check too long and complicated, no buyer does like to fill out or scroll a lot, they just like it as simple as possible, so do the seller, since they don't have much time. The result would be, buyer still would stick with the paypal/ebay-check out on the ebay site, since it is so simple to click on icon and two more steps, money is sent...The rest is history.

Please don't forget to add the two Global Priority options in your shipping options - THIS WOULD SAVE MANY SELLER A LOT OF TIPPING & TIME. THANK YOU.

I think it looks better so far. I would love to see THE DATE OF SALE (Auction end date) AND THE USER ID (customer's eBay ID)on the CONFIRMATION PAGE.

Thank you!

I agree that adding a FedEx calculator is a big one (we get a great rate on FedEx air because of the volume we do), and the radio button for "residence" vs. "business" address is an idea that will save the customers money and help us make sales.

Glad to see the changes being made! I appreciate the new features/ options.

There's a few things I'd like to mention. Calculated International shipping is a must. An assurance of Vendio's security should also be provided to help insure buyers that we just aren't out to collect their personal information, especially when offering to keep the info. on file for the next time. A lot of buyers won't use Vendio Checkout simply because they don't think it's safe. Trying to view the checkout process from a buyers point-of-view,I can't help but feel that things seem too stretched out and confusing. Too many pages with most of the important information that a buyer needs to modify or select appearing at the bottom of the page. For example, the shipping address page and the shipping option page could be combined. Shorter the better,2-3 pages would be good. Shipping Carrier & Insurance info. and Payment method need to be higher on the page. Some buyers forget to scroll or their graphics settings are set so the majority of the page isn't visiable. The payment address needs to stand out more to be easily found.

Any improvements welcome! We have had many complaints in the past. Any chance of combining Stamps.com into the post sale process to avoid typing every address? That would certainly help us one fingered typers. Also would like to see the post sale graph on the "Feedback To Send" page so that we would know who had already sent feedback to us. Thanks

I don't know how many of Vendio's present customers are US citizen, but I know there are a lot of overseas customer who use it's service from the first day when they start selling in eBay, I am one of them.

So, what is my point ? Even under the " International Carrier " option, all the Carrier are from the US itself, so how could I do a simple in-put for a first-class service carrier or even the basic Post Office Register Airmail option from my country which is out the USA for my customer ?

There are thousands & thousands of Vendio user in many other countries outside USA using their own countries shipping carrier, but they can't even in-put a simple Post Office service in the check-out. So how do the Vendio's team expect people like me and the rest who are not from the US benifits from the checkout enhancements ? Impossible, I will still use eBay checkout directly.

Love the new features. The only thing is I can not fully enjoy because as a canadian seller, I can not use the TAXES or shipping features.

In any case, love the new checkout and if I understand correct, if I accept offline credit card payments, you will collect the payment info using SSL from my clients so I just have to process it. Right???

It's about time! Some of my buyers will start using the Vendio check out now and of course I hope this will also mean I no longer will have to hand insert the shipping calculators into my Ebay ads? The only thing I wish you did have is a spot for GPX shipping. I know a lot of sellers probably don't use them but a lot of my items are oversize3 and I found that Greyhound will ship for a lot cheaper than UPS. Thank you for the calculated UPS ground category!

On the confirmation page I would like to see the complete mailing and shipping address including the names not just the address. I ask the customer to print out the confirmation page and send it with their payment if they are sending a check or Money Order. They need to know my name and address. My shipper, who receives the payment, needs the complete mailing address with the buyer's name in order to send out the item since he does not have access to a computer at all times.
I'm glad that Vendio is trying to address International shipments. Those have been a real problem requiring several emails since many International buyers just assume that they qualify for the insurance option.

Any improvements would be great. Spam filters on AOL send back the notices we send in many cases. This makes it hard to communicate with our customers. Any ideas how to keep this from happening?
I would like to see a link on our post sale page that gets us to The USPS web page. I do not use stamps. com because of the charges. The USPS web page does the same thing and gives free delivery conformation with priority mail. The link should automatically put in the buyers information when we are creating postage.
Thanks
