Is there any way to choose "I am specifying Ebay Payment and Shipping Details" and use the calculator where it shows up using Ebay's shipping on my auction under shipping? If I don't go into each item and revise it after it launches to Ebay, then the top of the listing won't say "Calculate Shipping" it will only indicate that I have chosen no shipping and to see seller's details. I want to use Ebay's shipping calculator and not have to guess at a flat rate fee when I choose to specify Ebay Payment and Shipping Details. Also the insurance is a problem. I want to use Ebay's calculator. Vendio doesn't show a calculator on the listing. Anyone know if I am doing something wrong? I am new to Vendio!!!
Thank you!

Hello,

At this time Vendio does not support the eBay Shipping Calculator. We do have a shipping calculator available, however it is for use with Vendio Checkout. If you would like to use the eBay shipping calculator, you will need to add it the way you have been. What is the trouble you are having with insurance?

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya,
The insurance has to be entered by me before I know what the ending sale price will be if I want to use the Specify Ebay Shipping option. I don't want to commit to insurance amounts before I know what the final sale price is. If I use the Vendio calculator, will it also calculate insurance for the buyer on the listing or only after they win? I also don't see where it tells the buyer insurance is optional on my listing when I use the Vendio Calculator for shipping. Why not? The buyer would probably like to know this ahead of time and not after a win.
Thank you.

Sonya,
I forgot to also ask why Vendio doesn't support the ebay shipping calculator? I am sure that I am not the only one asking. Is it because you want all our customers to use the Vendio checkout?
Thanks

Hello,

You can set insurance up in Global Preferences. It will know if the price is at a higher insurance grade, to charge that insurance amount.

We only just recently came out with support for a shipping calculator (Fall of last year). We are evaluating other shipping calculation needs so if you like, I can log a suggestion for you regarding desire for the eBay calculator.

Sonya

Hi Sonya,
Yes, I would appreciate if you could forward a request for the ability to use the Ebay Calculators for shipping and insurance. Thank you for your quick response.

I second the request for full compatability with the ebay shipping options/calculator. I am a new customer who thought this was already there. I do not want to have to use the Vendio checkout feature I and I think many prefer using the ebay process so it doesn't confuse our buyers more.

I really would like full compatability with the ebay shipping options and calculator.

STEVE

I'm not good at posting links to other messages, but look at the thread I started on 3/8 named "how to specify Ebay shipping details??"

Diana said that Vendio is working on full support for ebay shipping options, even included a link to a description of the feature - and said it was coming soon!!

(I'm surprised that Sonya doesn't know about it??? Or was Diana incorrect??)

Lots of us would REALLY appreciate this enhancement!!

I have read your link and I went through the shipping info and it looks good. Maybe Sonya is a robot malfunctioning and not a real person like we think she is! Before I started using Vendio a short time ago, I was reading the community boards alot and could see how Vendio's checkout was giving sellers and customers some problems. I had started with using Ebay and never had a problem so I am having to revise each auction after it launches to get Ebay's Shipping to work. I hope Vendio will support Ebay's shipping since it flows so smoothly for sellers and buyers. We shall see!!!

Hello,

Our apologies for the confusion, you can review some of the eBay shipping updates that are coming here.

Sonya's flux capacitor has since been replaced.

Hi - I know this probably isn't helpful - but I also am very interested in seeing Vendio's shipping options becoming compatible with eBay's.

In case you're grading importance of requests by how many people ask for it - I REALLY want this.
Thanks

Hello,

I'm back in working order now and my apologies for giving you wrong information. The new checkout is going to fully support eBay's Checkout features, which you can review using the link that Chris posted above.

Sonya

Hi - just new to Vendio and working on my store and auction listings.

If I check the option for the eBay checkout (as noted in the link that Chris provided) that says "No shipping rates provided" what happens when customers use the Vendio checkout?

Currently in my eBay store, I calculate shipping rates once the buyer has purchased items. Shipping is by weight, via USPS media mail. So if a buyer gets 20 items of music, I package and weigh the order, and then prepare an invoice for them with the total package weight.

Can I do something similar using Vendio checkout? Thanks!

Patrice
