The shipping discount does not work when you use calculated shipping. All it does is deduct the handling fee from the extra items but it does not give the discount off the cost of the actual shipping. The last time I used fixed rate shipping, the discount was working fine but since I switched to calculated shipping, my customers cannot get their 50% discount on additional items as I advertise. I am constantly trying to fix their checkout forms....If I have to keep doing this, I might as well just use ebay's checkout and hand calculate each discount - and I will have less complaints to deal with. Please help.
You are correct in that the shopping cart system for fixed price items and calculated listings is different.
The fixed listings will use the % off or fixed $ amount off.
The calculated listings use the other preferences where you can either charge based on the total weight of all items or on individual item weights.
