I have a message at the top of my sales manager page that says I need to "update" my ebay token. I also know that I should receive an email from you if I need to do that. To date, I have not received such an email. Is it safe to update the token per the instructions on the manager page??

Hello,

eBay authorization tokens expire annually, so you will need to update the token on our website once per year. We will send you an email letting you know when the token is about to expire, in addition to displaying an warning at the top of your Sales Manager control panel.

To update the token, please go to My Account -> Auction Site Accounts, and click the "edit" link next to your eBay ID. Enter the email address associated with your eBay ID and go through the eBay signin process. After this process is completed, your token will be updated (note that you would need to repeat this process on our website if you change your eBay ID or password.)

Regards,
Christopher

I also have the message on the top of my Sales Manager page but no email from Vendio to date. When did this "update token" thing start anyway? I've been selling with Vendio/AuctionWatch for 5 years and I've never had to do anything like this before.

Well, it's something we've started about a year ago. And it's now that the token's are finally expiring so that's why you're seeing them of late.
If you didn't get an email, it's possible that it got sent but either bounced back to us or had difficulty with your spam protection.
Best Regards,

I also have the message on my Sales Manager page. I have attempted to "edit" four times tpday and every time I get this message "
Universal Registration: Errors
We've experienced a temporary communication problem with our database. Please return to the registration page to try again. We apologize for the inconvenience.
I checked my Spam folder and there are no messages from vendio. My email address is correct. I am very anxious about this as I just started listing after a month break.
Please, help! What is going to happen if I cannot update the "token" which I have never heard of before. I cannot spend that much time attempting to update this "token." What if it expires in the middle of my auctions?????

Another three attempts to "update token" today and I had the same error message:
Universal Registration: Errors
We've experienced a temporary communication problem with our database. Please return to the registration page to try again. We apologize for the inconvenience.
As per the email status, I do not understand why I did not receive the email. I receive all Vendio emails, including bills, and they do not go into my Spam folder.
Please, I would like to know what is going to happen. Will Vendio send another email? Is this a temporary technical issue? Is it possible for auctions to be ended by Ebay due to this token situation?
This is a very important matter and a prompt response will be very much appreciated. I have been using Vendio/Ebay for over 5 years and I have never been in such a situation before.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I received the email today stating the token will expire on 4/16, in 4 days. I tried to edit the link again and I had the same error message.
I do not understand. I have only ONE account. I have not done anything, changed anything since I started using Ebay/vendio. I am login fine into Ebay and Vendio. WHY THIS ERROR MESSAGE? I have active auctions.
PLEASE VENDIO LOOK INTO THIS.
I have tried to update the token so many times. There is something wrong with the link.

Hello,

eBay authorization tokens expire annually. If you get a message saying your token is going to expire, you are going to need to update. If when you try to update you can't, please let us know if you've ever had an account with us before as it is possible your eBay ID is hooked into another Vendio account. You can email us this information at [email protected]. If you continue to get the communication error problem message, let me know.

Regards,

Sonya

Dear Sonya - thank you so much for the reply. I also sent an email as you recommended. I do not have any other accounts with Vendio. The only account I have is the one I opened 5 years ago. I have only one seller account with Ebay and I had the same ID since I started Ebay over 5 years ago. I do not understand what is going on.
The token expires on the 16th and I do have auctions running. Will they suddently not show any pictures? I hope this can be fixed ASAP. I am very anxious about this situation.
thank you again for your help.

I am not enjoying sounding like a broken record.... BUT, I am still unnable to update the token and I am about to loose my composure. I checked my Ebay account. I had another third party involved within my five years on Ebay/Vendio which was Square Trade. I revoqued Square Trade from any authorization and I "applied" Vendio. This should renew my authorization for Vendio being a third party on my behalf on Ebay. I am still getting the same error message when I give the authorization for Vendio.
The whole situation is beyond ridiculous. I have been a respected seller on Ebay for over five years with the same ID for the entire time. I want to update this "TOKEN" as quickly as I can. I have only ONE account with Vendio AND I am stuck in the most incredible situation I have ever been. I cannot imagine what is going to happen to my auctions when the token expires.
Thank you Vendio for reviewing this situation as quickly as possible- before the 16th!
Viviane

Hello vivabe,

Our apologies for the frustration caused by this issue. Please go to the My Account page and click on the Auction Site Accounts link.

When you get to the page that shows your eBay ID, click to remove it. Next, click to store it again as though doing it for the first time and see if it will take it now.

Regards,
Christopher
