and even though paid through VENDIO checkout (shopping cart and all)

2 items today:

ebay ID:

5581520251

and

5580080042

BOTH buyers went through vendio checkout and paid via paypal. Vendio did NOT record the payment. I marked them paid manually after noticing the payments in my paypal account myself.

Hi Lori,

Do you have any examples of this that you didn't manually mark off yet? We'd like to investigate this but need untouched example.

Regards,

Sonya

Yes. Here is one. Buyer name and address WAS pulled into vendio via checkout (or IPN) and payment received via paypal

Item NOT marked as paid.

Another one. Again, Vendio Checkout WAS completed (I have checkout redirect on so they HAVE to do checkout)

Buyer name and addy IS showing in post sale.

Payment is NOT showing as received, yet payment was made via paypal

Ebay number 5579561727

I have to process these orders, so I have to mark them as paid shortly.

Hello nycdesignsforless,

The engineering team has found the error and the fix is ready, we hope to push this live to the site soon so all future transactions will be picked up through the IPN again.

Christopher

Hi,

It isn't paypal IPN that is the problem, though. I use checkout redirect so ALL orders go THROUGH vendio checkout. IPN shouldn't come into play at all, right?

These people all went through VENDIO checkout and the orders still did not show as paid.

Hello,

Sorry for the confusion. The IPN is the Instant Payment Notification system. You may be confusing this with the API, which is the system eBay has for third parties to list and manage auctions.

Hi there,

The fix for this problem should be released shortly. I do apologize for any inconvenience. In the meantime, you should be receiving payment notifications, and you should not have any trouble manually recording the payments.

Thanks,

Diana

Hello,

Just an update: the problem with PayPal payments not being recorded in Post Sale has been fixed, and should no longer occur with new checkouts.

Thanks,

-Radu

Hello,

Yes, I know what IPN means. You said it was a problem with paypal IPN. I was questioning that because IPN should not come into play when buyers use my VENDIO checkout. All buyers whose payments were not recorded by vendio used VENDIO checkout, thus a paypal IPN problem should not have affected those payments. There must be another problem.

Hello nycdesignsforless,

The paypal IPN does come into play when your buyers checkout from Vendio.

This has since been corrected and all future payments will be recorded again.

Christopher
