Is there something that I am not getting with the new shipping & insurance changes? I have been trying to create auctions, however I keep getting this error message after I click on 'save':
Listing saved with errors :
- Please select a valid insurance cost to use with eBay fixed shipping.
- Invalid fields: EBay checkout
I have gone into my global prefs over and over and can not find the problem.

OK, i just changed something- which I had to change in 2 different locations: in 'shipping & insurance' as well in my 'global prefs' (why wouldn't one carry to the other?...unimportant separate issue at this point.
The change I made I only made switching things around out of desparation- however the change doesn't make sense either:
In my 'insurance' area I had USPS 'optional', and the box to the right said to fill it in (with a dollar value) IF [something about] special situations (or something like that)...but it said to ...'leave blank to use rates specified below'. I HAVE specified rates below and want to use them based opn teh USPS scale, so I did not see that as the problem; until I put in a value of $1.30...then it was happy with me and did not give me an error.
Now why would I have to put in a rate if I had 'specified rates' (the normal USPS rates) below? Will it still use these rates if the insurance value is for over $50...$100? (going up to the next USPS rate of $2.20/$3.20/etc?) or will it only charge THAT 'one' rate of $1.30 that I HAD to put in?

I just saw your post after I sent this one, but I still need to know if the rate I put in ($1.30) will adjust higher for items over $50.
Unfortunately, no. Since eBay requires a fixed insurance rate to be listed, if you switch to this it will apply to the Vendio checkout as well.
You could leave it as calculated insurance, then say that you are not specifying eBay shipping and payment details - as this is the only reason why you were needing to enter an fixed amount.

Couldn't agree more. PORTIONS OF NEW SYSTEM SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can I specify insurance charges if I don't know how much it's going to sell for?????? Or is this some kind of backwards logic??? I have been pulling my hair out with this same problem and am to the point where i'm about to shoot my laptop. This is very agervating to say the least.

mike4x4...that is why I am trying to get to the bottom of this >>> my husband just stomped off to bed after screwing around all day with this problem. If I didn't step in our computers may have gotten shot too!
There are just waaaay too many tweeks now...I am sitting back now wishing Vendio was the same old 'Auctionwatch' from 6 years ago...ahhh, I guess it was too simple then.

I'm having the exact same problems. The whole insurance things makes absolutely no sense. I can't get anything listed since all the errors get rejected. I'm going to list with SpareDollar until this gets sorted out - I'm paying for this service and it needs to get fixed IMMEDIATELY!
