Hello,
I made a custom template for my auctions a little over a week ago, which looks great but has now (I think ) caused some kind of problem on ebay that I can no longer revise auctions in plain text ......Up until a week ago when I or my staff wanted to revise a listing on eBay, we simply went to the auction number...clicked on REVISE AUCTION...then clicked EDIT DESCRIPTION...then simply edited the part of the description we wanted to edit (IN PLAIN TEXT) now all of a sudden after hitting the "edit description link" the page stays blank and we have to hit - CAN'T VIEW OUR DESCRIPTION EDITOR Use this alternative.....We then have to try and wade through all the HTML to try and make corrections. Most of my staff doesn't understand what to look for or how to go about trying to adjust the listings...so this is a big problem for me. Can anyone tell me what the problem could be??

Hello Lisae,

We started seeing this some time ago and eBay reported back that on a going forward basis if the auctions weren't using their own HTML editor to create the code in the first place, they were no longer going to make it available to use to edit listings created elsewhere using HTML.

This doesnt always seem to be the case, but that was their official response when asked about exactly that.

It seems more as though anything outside of a blank template and some really basic code and they will simply display the HTML code instead of giving the option to use their HTML editor to make any needed changes.

As a workaround, you could copy the HTML code that appears into a Vendio window to use our own HTML editor, make any needed changes, then show the code again so it can be copy/pasted back into the eBay description field. (note that any HTML editor would work for this, you wouldnt need to use the Vendio one)

Regards,
Christopher
