Let me ask it right now before we find out some other way.

Do we need to do ANYTHING to make sure that older ads now on e-bay will work with the new re-direct enhancements? I have allways had the re-direct in operation. So please let us know if we have to do anything with the bids now on e-bay

Hi,

There is no need to update anything for existing listings. All items with Checkout Redirect enabled will automatically be updated to the streamlined checkout flow. I'll update the announcement to that effect, and I appreciate you pointing out that error of omission. Take care!

Hi,
I have never enable check-out redirect. If I turn that on now will it work with my ebay auction and store listings already launched?
Thanks.

Hi gottaluve,

Checkout Redirect is a "tag" we have to send items when they are listed, so Redirect will be enabled only on the listings created after selecting the Checkout Redirect preference. Existing listings will be checked out as you are normally used to having them done.

As a side note, we didn't design this part of the implementation, but we understand the need to have it done this way at eBay (since they need to know to set the PayNow button upon item completion, and it makes sense to set that at the time of listing). Hope this helps.

Okay...thanks, I understand that.
Now, if I do turn it on now, do I have to change anything else in my Vendio or Ebay preferences. Thanks.

Should only be the one preference, but do note the types of listings that will NOT be enabled with Checkout Redirect (motors, real estate, Immediate Payment required, etc.). These are described just below the Checkout Redirect preference. Thanks!

Hi,
Okay...I activated check-out redirect yesterday afternoon. Since then I have had four items close. 2 regular styled auction formats that ended last night, 1 "buy it now" auction format and one ebay store purchase.
The WBN only went out for the basic auction purchases. The BIN and Store purchases haven't gone out yet. I know it states that there will be an approx. 30 minute delay, but one is a least 16 hrs. old and the other at least 3 hrs. old. What gives?

Hi gottaluve,

For the items in the order you created, to send a WBN, you need to make sure the "Send WBN (invoice) to buyer after combining items" box is checked when creating the order. You can send that WBN manually now, if you'd like.

We are checking on the item from today, which does appear to be behaving oddly. The team is looking at it. Thanks!

Hi,
These are all separate customers, separate purchases.
That one order has nothing to do with my last post, and I know if I manually combine an order, I need to send the WBN once combined.
I'm talking about the 4 separate orders after that one combined order.
There is the one today and the Ebay store purchase from last night that failed to have the WBN sent. The ONLY thing I changed was activating the redirect.
Please let me know asap if this is a glitch as I will want to turn off redirect until it is fixed. Thanks.
