When placing "test orders" at my Vendio store, the combined shipping (Priority calculated) works fine as long as the order is for single quantities of DIFFERENT items. However, when placing an order for multiple quantities of the SAME item, the shipping charges stay at the cost of shipping only one piece, no matter how many exras I add. This also just happened at checkout after a Dutch auction. The customer won 5 items, but checkout apparently computed shipping for just one item. Store listings and auction were launched from SMPro. Is there some checkout setting that needs to be changed?
Calculate combined shipping based on:
Total weight of all items (e.g., to ship in one package)
This is for items with calculated shipping. If your weight is low (in some cases you have it as 1.5 oz) then the combined order will have the shipping equal the same for one item, depending on the rate scale.

Sonya, I have a question too. I enter the weight of all my items whether they are flat rate or calculated S&H . My global settings are:
Calculate combined shipping based on:
Total weight of all items (e.g., to ship in one package)
So, the checkout should combine everything correctly, even if some items are flat rate and some are calculated?
Will this work with imported listings or just ones created in Vendio?

I'm a little confused, Sonya. Shouldn't this setting BE enabled if shipping all items in one package? Anyway, I experimented with changing this setting to "Individual item weights (e.g., to ship separately)". Of course this results in the system simply adding individual item shipping charges together, instead of providing an accurate combined total (to ship together in one package). That is, if the order is for DIFFERENT items. No matter which setting is enabled, if the order is for ONE item only, I get the same shipping total, whether the item quantity is one or ten. This is for an item that weighs 1.5 lbs. (store item 785401165, Mess Kit).

Hi Dutchman,
There actually was a bug that was causing your shipping problems -- it should be fixed shortly.
mbv2602 -- I'm not completely sure what happens if you have a mixture of fixed and calculated so I'll need to check on that for you. If you are importing, you'll need to set up your shipping settings prior to the import but since the imported items were not originally created in Vendio, we cannot guarantee that they are going to function the way you want them to if you're hoping to apply calculated shipping to those items.

Hi mbv2602,
What will happen if you have an order with fixed items and calculated items is, the package will be split up. Shipping for fixed items is based on fixed discount rules, and shipping for calculated items is based on calculated rules.

Thanks for getting back to me on this Sonya. I hope they add the ability to combine mixed items to the checkout someday.
