Even though the sales tax setting in my account is correct, the auctions ending this past weekend didn't show the calculated sales tax at checkout. Is there a problem?
Can you give us some item numbers to look at? I checked one from the 9th, and you had one tax profile applied for the state of Tennessee and the winner was from Texas. Tax would have applied in that case had she been from Tennessee based on your profiles.
Thank you for the examples. Did you create these items online in Sales Manager, or did you use Sales Manager Pro? Did this problem just start this weekend or has it been occurring for a while?
Did you recently change your settings? I looked at all the items again and the one that did have tax applied, shows the winner went through Vendio Checkout. The others do not show winners going through Vendio checkout, but going directly to PayPal and paying for the items, ignoring your mention of sales tax for the state of Tennessee.

Hello Sonya,
No I haven't changed any settings. Shouldn't the buyer still be charged sales tax automatically if he uses the eBay checkout? The listing is submitted to eBay with the sales tax for TN given.
It should still apply if the buyer goes through eBay checkout since you set it up to apply for eBay checkout. It looked like the buyer went directly to PayPal -- did the buyer go through eBay checkout for this item?
One more thing, do you have the PayPal IPN set up?
You should be able to tell by looking at the Instant Payment Notification that Paypal sends you. Additionally, you should be able to see through the eBay selling manager. You can email us a copy of your instant payment notification message to [email protected] so we can take a look at it.
