I came to Vendio two months ago and the Shipping costs section has caused me problems from the start.
I am in Canada so I use Canada Post not USPS.
As there is no provision in your Listing Form to put Flat Rate Shipping and NOT mention USPS I had been putting "Flat Rate" in one of the blank boxes and then putting the $ figure in. I didn't like the wording it showed on EBay at the top of the listing as it did not say Flat Rate but it was livable however yesterday I noticed that the information has gone from the top of my listings to be replaced by the words "(To Canada) Check item description or Contact seller for details".
This means that when we send Invoices (which we do manually) we are going to have to check each listing for the Shipping quoted and put it in on the Invoice??
I do specify the Shipping to the United States in all of my descriptions as 85% of our Sales are to the US and very few to Canada.
I checked my Site specifics and I still have the box checked that I am specifying Flat Rate Shipping.
Please help...thank you

Hello Otterop,
I clicked into a bunch of ou live listings and could not find any that said "(To Canada) Check item description or Contact seller for details". in them.
Could you please send me a couple item numbers of that contain this text so that I can investigate further?

Abe,
It is in every listing at the top under Shipping costs.
It used to give the $ amount of the shipping I had put in the listing form and it said "Shipping within the United States only"
It has changed in the last couple of days.
This evening we had to manually insert the Shipping in the EBay Invoices.
eBay is starting to change their formats for listing the shipping costs and it will start to be browser/buyer specific.
When I view one of your listings from eBay.com and logged into my US based account, eBay shows a different cost/text in the above mentioned section:
Unfortunately to get the costs to appear in the eBay invoice you may need to start enabling the option labeled 'I am specifying eBay shipping and payment details' when entering the shipping costs.

Christopher,
Thank you for managing to figure out that mystery!
It is a relief to know that US Buyers can see the Shipping but it is very very silly!
For Canadian Buyers it is a disaster because the silly text in that field makes no sense if we don't have an option to put in a Canadian Shipping cost.
I actually found this morning a Seller in NEW YORK who has the Canadian text in their Shipping Field..I bet they are not too happy!
I will ensure that I change my options regarding the Invoice.
Thank you again for solving the mystery.
