I have an "Open" sign that I've had in my permanent custom listing for all my auctions that is not showing up. It still appears to be in my uploaded photos. I haven't changed anything in that area for a long time. Can you please tell me why it's not showing up?

Hello,

Toyspast - is this that animated gif graphic you were working with issues on a few months back by chance?

Either way, let me know where I can go to view this image so we can test further.

rpm - eBay did have some outages with their gallery pages just last week, perhaps they are again working on this system. If you see any Vendio hosted images not displaying properly please let us know. (unfortunately we dont have control over images once added to their gallery, as they are then hosted on the eBay servers)

Regards,
Christopher

Christopher! How do you remember that? Yes, I'm having the same problem. I intially has a much larger Open sign, and then one day it just went away. Then I re-did the sign and it came out smaller. Now it's gone too, but the gif is still in my photos. I think the last time, it wasn't even in my photos anymore. Please figure out what I need to do to restore it. Thanks for your help!

Hello,

The image that was in your account, and had been for some time, was called '1111OpenComeIn.gif.'

The missing image from your listings is called '1111OpenComeIn_001.gif' - and didnt exist in your Vendio account.

I just downloaded the image that was in your account and reuploaded it with both the original name as well as the name that appears to be referenced in some of your currently active items.

I have no idea why I remember that open sign, I guess its just the flashing neon is hard to forget.

All should be good now, I set them both to autorenew also just in case. (since your using the HTML for the preview image Vs the regular URL, as the preview URL wont reset the image hosting flag indicating it was being used somewhere.)

Regards,
Christopher

Thank you! You are a god-send! Just wish I could get back my bigger image. I have no idea why that ever happened! I'll probably change it some time down the line. Thanks for your speedy help with this issue.

Hello,

As to the size of the image, note that in the HTML code you are pointing to the thumbnail of the image in question, and not the full sized image.

The thumbnail you point to currently:

The image in its full size:

If you decide to edit the HTML your using, the URL for the image in its full size is as follows:
http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/toyspast/1111OpenComeIn_001.gif

Christopher, I have put the URL you said to to get the full-size version but it isn't appearing. What else do I need to do?

Hello,

There is something strange about the formatting of this animated Gif image when you use it as a hyperlink.

You could use the following HTML code to force the image to display at its full size:

<A class=customlink HREF="http://www.stores.ebay.com/id=119670"><center>
<img src="http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/toyspast/1111OpenComeIn_001.gif"

width="143" height="57"></A>

For some reason I just cannot view this animated image at all in my copy of Internet Explorer (the image is set to flash 1001 times) - but it doesnt show the 'image unavailable' graphic, just the little red X as though the image itself was somehow corrupt.

FYI, we may want to change this image, for future use, to a non-animated image instead (if your going to use it as a hyperlink especially.)

Regards,
Christopher

Edited to add:

I had someone take a look at the image for me and they did also find some errors in the color pallete details that is causing problems for Internet Explorer.

They were able to correct the image, so if you delete the current one/s and replace it with the following, it should work great in Internet Explorer also.

Just right+click and save+as:

Well, I saved the big one like you said, uploaded it to Vendio, clicked on to find the properities, and inserted them in the spot in my custom text, and it's the thumbnail pic...8-( Did I do something wrong? Thanks for taking the time to help me with this. I really appreciate it.

Hello,

You were still using the HTML code that pointed to the thumbnail image. You may have been changing only the filename part and not the whole URL.

I went ahead and fixed it for you, now that I know you just had it stored in your custom listing text page.

If you check the preview on one of the currently scheduled items you will see how it looks now.

Nope, it shows the larger size, but it's blank with the x inside.

You had uploaded the replacement image, but not with the same name as the existing images.

I deteled the images and re-uploaded the corrected image with the correct filenames.

I checked the pending item and it did still appear to show the image properly (in firefox.)

If it doesnt load right away, try pressing CTRL+F5 to force the page to load the newest version.
