Here is the situation:
We buy/sell camera equipment, so a lot of times we sell the same camera body or lens multiple times per month. The problem with this is we pay different amounts for each item. For example, we may purchase 3 exact camera bodies in a given week, but we may pay 120 for one, 100 for the other, and 75 for the third.
Lets assume we sold the camera body we paid 120 for on Monday. On Wednesday, we want to relist the closed auction, but update the item cost to 100, how could we do this? I understand we have the option of entering the original closed auction into inventory where we can set average cost, but this option only allows 4 pictures, we use 10 photos in each of our listings.
Do we have to enter a new listing for each item, or can we alter closed auctions by somehow editing the item cost?
Also, we sell in ebay stores, so using starting price as a refernece to item cost is not an option.
If your not listing from inventory as is, and simply submitting new listings from the Sales Manager each time - where are you entering the 'cost' value now? (that you would want to be able to change this previously entered value?)

A easy way to do this is do what I do. I have a batch in my SMPro program with what I call templates. They are copies of items I sell alot of but like you may have varying purchase cost.
All you have to do is create your listing and save it lets say in a batch you title TEMPLATES. Then whenever you want to launch one and need to change the price all you do is open a new batch and also open your Template batch. Highlight the item in your Template batch and drag it to your new open batch. Walla!!! Now just edit the price in the new batch item and launch it. It's just that simple, drag, drop and edit price and launch. This is one reason I like SMPro so much. Draging and droping similar listings and doing changes is just so damn simple.
If you use the online SM system just keep a copy of these items in your pending listings and never launch them. Just copy them and edit the price in the copied listing and then launch it.

Always happy to help. By the way, even if you have launched a item as long as you saved it in a batch you can still do this. Just open the batch that has the launched/synched item and drag it into a new batch. When you do it will become un-synched and revert to waiting to upload/synch. So you can edit anything you want to in it before launch again.
