Several of my Winner Bidder Notifications are not being sent lately. Most of the time, the buyer usually has just bypassed my check-out and paid for the item, so I haven't reported it, but it appears to be increasing, and I've had to send some manually. Can you please look into this issue and find out what's happening?

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have passed these details along to the engineering team to check into further.

I did see some spikes in our API to eBay database recently, but I cannot tell for sure where the delay is coming from. We will post back to this thread when we hear back.

For now go ahead and send the WBN for those 3 storefront items in your closed section manually.

Regards,
Christopher

I'm not seeing my WBN's sent out either. This is not good because I added a lot of information to steer them into using the Vendio Checkout for better intergration.

Hello cmusic,

Your recent items didnt send the WBN because the buyer had gone through the checkout process within the first 30 minutes of the items closing.

When you use the eBay checkout redirect system, your WBN is delayed 30 minutes to give the buyer a chance to be redirected to your checkout first.
Then if they haven't completed the checkout process as of yet, the automatic WBN is triggered.

Christopher

I have had the same thing happen to me for quite a few sold items. I thought maybe I had forgot to set the 'auto-send WBN' but I checked my templates that I use for specific groups of auctions and they are definately checked off to auto-send the WBN. These are sort of 'automated-sounding emails' but I do like knowing that my buyers get an email from me as well as the standard ebay 'item won' email. Please check into this!

Hello,

Do you have any examples of items that are setup to send the WBN automatically but have yet to do so - that we can use to test with?

Christopher

In case sfnyartist does not respond, here's my list:

9133226057, 9131766736, 6053343874, 8811320940, 6054526458, 8064933147, 6629712528

I believe 99% (if not 100%) of these paid immediately by Paypal, so it hasn't been a tremendous irritation. But I still want the email to go out because it contains additional information about their order. I do not have re-direct operating, which reading in other posts turns the WBN off if they pay within 30 minutes or some such thing. Yes, please check into this as you promised after I first posted this quite a while ago.

toyspast,

I don't see any reason why the WBN would be stopped from going out in your account - so we have passed these along to the engineering team to check into further.

Thank you for passing along these examples.

Thanks Christopher,

I have always had all of my auctions set to send WBNs automatically. Here are just a few of the item numbers in which no WBNs were sent:

7414737460
7410028091
7410012546
7415387527
7407523171
7409624460
7411733718
7407725255
7407522932

It seems sporatic- I had one buyer purchase 5 items on May 17th and not one auto WBN was sent. These are all different items that were created at different times/different days....some newly listed, while others were store items that were created months ago. It appears that this started happening around the middle of April. I did just double-check all of the templates I used for these auctions and I definately had the 'send auto WBN' box checked off.

Thanks for checking into this!

#5652739165 closed several days ago and no WBN was sent - same as above - but when I go to re-list it says it hasn't closed yet. Item is in the CLOSED section of my account with boxes (empty) next to it. Why would THAT happen? Is anyone doing anything about this situation? Every day I have items where the WBN is not sent. And now I have this!

Hello,

There was a brief problem with email the other day which caused us to miss some notifications from eBay, and had some other side effects related to email (WBNs delayed, email delayed). This problem was resolved quickly, but there may be some residual effects.

If you notice items that have closed with a winner but have no post-sale keys, please go to All Closed, check the items, and then click the "Refresh" button. This will trigger our system to recapture the buyer information. Likewise, if items that have closed are still in active, click All Active, check the box next to the item(s) and then "Refresh".

If you notice that a WBN was not sent for certain items, you may send it manually.

Please let us know if these problems continue.

Thanks,

Diana

Diana:

The item I indicated above is in closed WITH boxes next to it, but when I try to re-list, it says it's still active. It is not in my active auction, and when I search closed auctions, it comes up. I've clicked on it to refresh it several times with no luck. Also, the previous problems are an on-going problem that has had no attention, even though other sellers are complaining. What is being done about the WBN's that are not getting sent? This is not related to a problem the other day - this is a problem that's been going on for some time. I'd like to see some real resolution being done. Yes, I can send them manually, but why should I have to? I'm paying a lot of money to you folks every month, and I'd like to have the service I've been paying for.

Hi Diana, I just wanted to restate that this has been happening since mid-April for me, so this situation is not due to nor residual from the problem the other day. Just wanted to make the techs aware of this different problem

also as mentioned, it is very sporatic, happeneing to different sold items that were launched at different times/days, some ebay store items, some auctions....nothing that would give them a common situation (although they are all in the antique prints catagory).

Hello,

toyspast, when did the listings that you were trying to relist but couldn't (because our system thought they were still active) close? We had a bug that caused that behavior, but it's been fixed as of 5/23. You should be able to work around it by tracking or importing the listings.

As for WBNs not sending, this is somewhat of an intermittent problem that is caused typically by latency through eBay's API. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about this other than to offer a workaround (use the 'Refresh' button). We understand it's not optimal but occasional latency will happen and is not something that can be completely eliminated. The 'Refresh' button is there to help offset this problem and in most cases should do the trick. If there is an extended or widespread issue that is affecting the ability to refresh, we will post an announcement.

Thanks,

Diana

I am not really satisfied with this response. Reading above on other responses, it's been an obvious problem. If this is an intermittent problem to do with the eBay, then why is this happening basically in the last few weeks, and not since the beginning? This has only been happening the last few weeks. As I indicated above, they almost always are paid immediately through Paypal, so I'm thinking it has something to do with the setup you have with the re-direct system. It's like you have it on the same frequency or something. This is happening at all times of the day and night - not just during high peak times. I'm not happy that the ones that don't go out and are not immediately paid by Paypal, get NOTHING unless I'm home to see it's not going out. I might be away from my computer all day, and they get NOTHING from Vendio regarding the check-out. Not good. Please make this a higher priority then what you're obviously doing now.

Still happening....most WBNs for 'sold' items in postsale are not being automatically sent. Yes, I could send them manually, however I want these WBNs to go out right after the items close, not 12-24 hours later when I happen to go into Vendio.

Just wondering if anyone is looking into this.

currently posted as an announcement:

eBay has announced (on their internal developer forums) a technical issue on their side that is affecting our system, leading to latency in the post-sale area. This is causing delays in closed items being recognized by our system as closed, and is mostly affecting multiple Fixed Price listings and Dutch listings.

eBay is working to correct this issue but has not provided an estimate as to when the issue will be resolved. In the meantime, if your closed listings are still being shown as active in Sales Manager, check the boxes next to the active listings and then the Refresh button in Sales Manager. You may need to do this more than once, but please allow about 10 - 15 minutes between refresh attempts.

If your listing appears in Closed (or Unsold) with no post-sale keys, please check the items and use the Refresh button in Sales Manager. Again, please allow several minutes between attempts and be sure to refresh your browser and/or clear your browser cache.

Thank you for your patience while eBay works to resolve this problem.
