I am trying to use the Best Offer feature
I have it turned on so every listing that can should automatically have it.
However I am finding that it isn't working that way.
I also notice when I go into my inventory items it isn't checked for most of them.
I check it save it, and then list the item and find best offer isn't happening.
As a result I have to go revise each of these items to turn the Best Offer feature on.
Why isn't this more automatic? Or is there something I am doing wrong.

Hello,

In the Sales Manager Merchandising Edition the Best Offer option only appears when creating and listing your items from the main Sales Manager page.

The inventory module does not have a place for you to indicate if you would accept Best Offers for your items or not unfortunately.

I didn't understand your response.
When I go into inventory and edit my items,
there is a box for best offer and it allows me to click on it and it gives a check mark.
If I understand what you are saying is that it ignores that then?
If so how do I get Best offer to be automatic for me?
Also why does the Best offer box appear if it is ignored?

Let me also ask you this question:
If I switch to the inventory edition does Best Offer work differently or do I have the same problem?
What I want is for Best Offer to work automatically in all of my auctions, whether they are new, re-lists, or launched from inventory.
Can I get this?

Hello,

Do you have an example of an item where Best Offer is enabled and showing up properly in inventory, when submitted it does not seem to transfer to the live item?

Christopher

Christopher,
Yes.
In my inventory folder called Mityvac, item labeled "Mityvac Brake Bleeding Kit MIT6820 NEW".
If you go under edit for ebay motors you will notice Best Offer box is activated you can check it and a check will appear.
I save it and then list it and best offer does not show up.
If you went through all of my items you would find some where Best Offer doesn't show but quite a number of them do.
However nothing happens. It doesn't even save the checked box. The next time I go into the inventory item it is as I have never checked it.
Dennis
Is there any way I can have best offer automtically each tim eI list or relist an item?

Hello,

Technically the Best Offer feature wasn't going to be available in the inventory module of the Sales Manager Merchandising Edition, and it isn't for regular eBay listings (but I did notice when you asked, that it was appearing here in Motors.)

We'll need to check on this and get back to you, to see if it is showing as an option and should not - or if it should be available for Motors specific items and simply isnt working properly.

Currently the only way to enable this feature when listing via the SMME is to enable it while creating and listing your items from the main Sales Manager page. (or if you schedule your items from inventory, then cancel from pending and edit prior to launch, to check the BO option and save the change.)

Christopher,
Thanks.
If I switched to the Inventory Edition would best offer work differently when listing and is it stored in the inventory items?

Hello,

Yes, Best Offer is supported in the inventory for SMIE (as everything is stored in inventory.)

Click here to see a video demo of how the SMIE program works and is setup.

If you do want to switch - click here .

Christopher
