even though ebay allows the skype call me button on the auctions it cannot be added to the custom listing text as the auction will not go through

Hi Wa2000,
I see you have a pretty large text in the custom listing text. And a lot of HTML code there! I did not see any Skype Call Me code there.
Anyway I have tried to add the code as instructed by eBay in one of our test accounts, and I could launch a listing that contains the Skype Call Me link.
Can you please be more specific about the error you encounter? Can you add the HTML code in your account? Did you try to eBay preview a listing after adding this code to your preferences? If the listing did not launch, what is the error returned?

Hi Wa2000,
eBay has strong regulations regarding the content of the description. They do not allow javascript in description unfortunately. In my tests, I copied the code generated in the following page http://www.skype.com/share/buttons/ I have simply entered my Skype screen name, then chose the button. In the end I have copied the code and pasted it in my misc text. Please try the same and post back if you encounter any problems.

Hi Wa2000,
the code generated in the page above does not look like the one posted by you. Find below the text I used. You may copy it and use it. All you have to do is place your skype username:
<a href="skype:simplemarius?call"> <img src="http://mystatus.skype.com/balloon/YOUR_SKYPE_USERNAME" style="border: none;" width="150" height="60" alt="My status" /></a> <a href="http://www.skype.com/go/download">Get Skype</a> and call me for free.
