I am helping a friend start on Vendio and as a long time Vendio user was enormously frustrated by how we had to create a new listing for her yesterday. Her "package" is the one that you just "Pay As You Go" one for $.12 per listing, etc. Why is the "Create Listing" pages for her package so different AND I have to tell you, almost impossible to follow and work with even by a computer savvy, 6 year Vendio user like me?

Either they are setup on an image hosting only plan and trying to create ads from the image hosting page directly - or they may have selected the Inventory Edition of the program.
Otherwise it would look identical to your own listing form.
If she didnt want to be on the Inventory Edition and is (the Sales Manager tab says 'inventory edition' right on it if thats the case) - you can switch via the My Account page.
(look for a link in yellow asking if you want to switch versions.)

But isn't that more expensive? She is only going to have a few auctions a month to begin & the monthly plans may cost more than her items! I didn't see any other options when she signed up other than the monthly charge plans and the one she chose which is pay as you go per listing with no monthly charge.
There is no cost difference between the versions of the Sales Manager that you use, its just a matter of using whichever happens to be best suited for the seller.

Christopher,
OK, se we switched her over to the Sales Mgr Merchandising version, but her item that was in pending waiting for the Sunday launch is not showing up in the new version's Pending. The notes on the "Switching" page were ambiguos as to what will be restored over and what won't, but it read like anything already created as a listing would be saved. Where is her pending item now? Where should we look for it if not in "Pending"?
Items created in the Inventory Edition are not available for use in the Merchandising Edition.
If you would like to avoid recreating all of the listing, try switching back to the SMIE again, edit the item and copy the description text/HTML - then switch back and recreate the item (pasting in the text/html from SMME.)
