Twice in less than a week, we are having problems with scheduled listings failing to 'launch' due to reasons that do not seem valid.
Tonight's problems state 'invalid category' - we have always used the same template, same categories... so that is clearly not the problem.
Problem with copying our templates directly into eBay is that the item is not being included in our Vendio Gallery. I have just noticed that we haven't had any of our items listed the past two or three days show up in our Vendio Gallery.
We can't afford to have this keep happening. Is Vendio experiencing some problems that we should be made aware of?

Hello Charlene,

Love the art! The error you are receiving indicates that eBay has either changed the category number (thus invalidating the original category number), has added sub-categories to it (thus it is no longer a "leaf" category), or has removed the category altogether.

To eliminate the error, please edit your listing, scroll to the category section, and click the "Edit Categories" button to reselect your category. Be sure to choose the category from the menu selector, and save your changes after reselecting your category.

After taking the above steps, you should have no further trouble listing your item.

If you want, I can assist by attempting to list an item on your behalf to the marketplace. Please just let me know which item, and the specific category that you wish for it to list to.

If your gallery isn't showing up on your listings, please provide me with examples as they should show regardless if they were launched through our service or not.

Regards,

Ed

Hello again Charlene,

The eBay category is valid, so the eBay error is "invalid".

I was just notified by a collegue that the listing failures appear to be caused by eBays' maintenance work:
"The eBay system will be undergoing general maintenance from approximately 23:00 PT on Thursday, July 27th to 01:00 PT on Friday, July 28th. During this maintenance period, certain eBay site features may be intermittently unavailable or slow."
http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200607261216501.html

Please try to list again. Other users might also complain, as there are more than 40 category errors recorded, and they are likely invalid too.

Regards,

Ed
