Will this problem ever be fixed???? I once again have two items stuck in closing for over 5 hours. I have tried everything, all the normal stuff, refreshing both my browser and post sale, refreshing closing and active, importing, clearing the cache. Nothing works. Item # 220013521526 and # 220013506558. Both customers are asking for a combined total and checkout link which I cannot give. Both customers are upset that I cannot provide this. I have had se3veral store items end after these and they are going into post sale just fine. Does anybody know what causes this? How can we resolve this at a faster rate in order to keep customers happy?

Hello Laura,

Auction: 220013506558 is combined with another auction: 220013503826 and showing in your postsale. Auction 220013521526 was a parent listing which was unsold. Were you referring to another listing?

Ed

This really sucks! I have this problem every day. 290023757816 & 290022246076 have been there for over 3 hours. I am going to have to stop using fixed price auctions if you can not fix this. I need to relist the auction & send them tracking numbers. I guess I will have to wait till tomorrow now.

I posted my issue 2 1/2 hours ago. These have been stuck for 4 hours now. How about a response. I realize it will only be an excuse but please do humor me.

Hello,

Our apologies for the delay. We are currently checking into possible causes for the error your seeing. We do see a large backlog of fixed price items waiting to close on our end as well.

There was an issue at eBay earlier, but they claim to have resolved it around 11am.

We will continue to check into this error and post back as soon as we have more information available. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Regards,
Christopher

Christopher...while I appreciate you offering to look into it. This is not a new problem. Every complaint of this type is blamed on eBay. We are receiving our item sold emails from eBay. I think that Vendio is dropping the ball on this issue. Lord knows how we all love to hate eBay...but, we can't blame everything on them.

I agree I have had this problem for over a month now. Every day I have "stuck" sales. It is realy a pain in the but. Rather than looking into a quick fix how about addressing the problem

My stuck items finally made it into post sale but took over 6 hours to come. Seems like this problem should be fixed for good. I have been using Vendio since it was Auction Watch and have never had a problem like this until about 3 months ago. When is Vendio going to fix this problem. It really make it hard to give my customers good effecient customer service. I agree that it happens to at least a few items every day.

Hello,

While this is not always an eBay problem nor always a Vendio problem, we will always check into the situation and do everything that we can to address it.

While in recent history there have been major issues with the eBay API that caused these situations (which we have shown to be the case at those times), this one today does appear to be on our end (at first glance.)

We will continue to investigate the problem until we find a resolution and will post back (as well as to the posted announcement) when more information is available.

Please post any questions you have about this situation into this thread, try not to start any new threads on this same exact issue.

Regards,
Christopher

Christopher, I'm sorry that you didn't like my thread about the unacceptable time frame for listings to close and felt the need to delete it.

However, my item is not stuck in closing. It has not MOVED to closing and it appears (at least in my humble opinion and the opinion of my customer) that Vendio does not know that the item has sold.

Hello,

The error your seeing is one and the same as the issue where items get stuck in 'closing' status.

Sometimes its as simple as us not getting a notice via the eBay API that it has closed, and when that happens you can usually just select it and click to refresh to drop it to the closed list and process it through post sale management.

Right now its an issue with our processing these sold multiple quantity listings. When one item out of a multiple quantity listing has sold, a 'child' item is created and moved into the closed section for processing just that pariticular sale.

The backlog of fixed price items is processing as we speak, but it is very behind. It will get caught up and process all of the items, but they will be a few hours after the original closing time.

What we are in the middle of right now is figuring out what caused the backlog of items in the first place, as well as what we can do to process this backlog more quickly so we can get back to a normal speed for taking care of these items.
Regards,
Christopher

At this time, the latency appears to be slowly declining, and we do expect that all items will be processed shortly.

Yes however it is now hours later and the problem persists.

Hello,

davebraun - none of these items appear to be 'stuck' in closing mode.
If you do get others that move to the closed section, say 'closing' and fail to update past this 'closing' status, please let us know.

Christopher

120024291860 sold at the same time approx 4 hours ago and still has not appeared in post sales.

The buyer has sent me two emails as they are waiting to combine with 3 other items.

It took over 3 hours for the three above to close.

It took over two hours for you to answer me.

Hey Chris, it was 6283922426.
However, it eventually closed. Of course while it is "stuck" the client cannot access the Vendio checkout cart and use his credit card. And, while he can check out through eBay and then use his cc at Paypal, that kinda defeats the purpose of using you.

You are going to show him lots of other things he can't live without, then capture his address so I can import it into Endicia and provide a little portal to Verisign so he can pay. Except this guy had to call me and give me his cc info.

So, unstick em. Thank you.

The item that are stuck are revoling. Now it is 290022246297 & 290021921437. Later it will be others. That last ones were stuck for hour hours last time I checked.

I have another gripe (that I am sure will not be fixed) Why are the WBNs not going out in half my auctions. This whole post sale benifit seems pointless.

Hi Chris,

The 5 that were stuck have shown up now but making my customer wait 6 hours for it to show up is just not reasonable. Currently I have no items stuck but by morning I am sure there will be more.
