Hello,

I listed a table last evening, and today I see it has listed 3 extra times. Now I will receive a charge by vendio and ebay. Can you fix this so that there will be no extra charge?

Hello,

End your duplicates right away, so you can ask eBay for a refund for the fee's on those items.

Obviously you will also want to send in a request for a refund for your Vendio related fees as well.

As for what happened, its hard to say after the fact, but did you run into any timeout issues when you were posting or scheduling these listings? (basically anything that required you to refresh the page/etc?)

Everything in the backend makes it appear as though they were manually submitted, and the time difference in when they were actually posted doesn't seem to convey a normal duplicate listing scenario.

Were these created and scheduled via the online Sales Manager, or did you 'launch now' or upload from inventory or SMPRO?

Christopher

I can get the refund from ebay easy enough, but vendio is another story. Since it is not my fault, please just credit my account. thank you.

I spoke with ebay, they graciously allowed me to cancel the auctions and refund my fees. Unfortunately, Vendio just relisted the item again. I will not pay my bill if these fees are not removed. Please don t give me a canned response, just fix it.

Ahhh... if only Vendio would "just fix it". But, if they don't, here is the link to get a refund and it is a 2 part process:
https://secure.vendio.com/my/acct/request_refund.html

First, you will have to go to your bill (My Account) and copy the Ref ID Number for each of the mistaken launches(the Ref ID Number is in the first column). Then place it in the refund box and voila....you will get a refund in a couple of weeks.

Rinse and repeat.

Good luck.

Hello,

Did you want to troubleshoot what actually happened and how to avoid it in the future, or is the 'just fix it' in reference only to the 25 cents in listing fee's that you want refunded?

If the latter, no worries, ill send a note to the billing department to take care of that on your behalf.

Otherwise, try and answer the above questions and we'll see if we can't get to the bottom of it.

*This response is guaranteed fresh, not canned or from concentrate.

Regards,
Christopher

I listed this auction online as I have done for the past 7 years. Here are the auction #'s: 160024552398 / 160024552909 / 160024754753. The 4th time it happened, I just went in and removed the auction, so I don t have that number. I guess I am out the 2.65 from ebay, because when they removed the previous 3, they told me it was a one time deal. I don t use any of the auction pro's, strictly online created auctions. Like I said, Have been at this and using auctionwatch/vendio for over 7 years, and this has never been a problem. thank you.

no time out issues while I was listing, no refresh page issues. Nothing happened when I originally listed this item out of the ordinary.

Hello,

I only found one item in your list of active auctions in Vendio with the title:
"Circa 1850's Primitive painted GATELEG TABLE /CHERRY"

This item is not setup to automatically relist.

If you have additional items that are posting still, please include those specific item numbers so we can check to see where they are originating.

Christopher

that's because to receive my refunded fees from ebay, I had to cancel them immediately. All 5 extra listings. I really couldn t wait for vendio, I would have missed the opportunity for the refund. Just another disappointment in a long line from vendio.

Hello,

If you would like to know if it really was a Vendio caused error, let us know the item numbers for the items that were launched after you cancelled the originals.

When we checked, none were in your account, almost as though they hadn't appeared in your Vendio Sales Manager (which would be a pretty big red flag as to where they are being duplicated/triggered.)

I realize that since you list here it makes it really easy to just assume that if anything goes wrong, it has to be Vendio - but phantom duplicate listings just isn't one of the issues that comes up ever when listing from here.

I think thats why its so important to find out what is actually causing those items to launch, as making a possible false assumption could lead you to this exact same situation again in the future.

Christopher

Hello,

Ok, I think we are getting somewhere now.

One thing that is jumping out in this situation is the difference between these items, as they aren't all exact copies of one another.

Original Item number: 160024410241
This item is titled: "Circa 1850's Primitive painted GATELEG TABLE /CHERRY"

4 of the 5 'duplicate' listings do not have the same exact title.
160024488311, 160024552398, 160024552909 & 160024754753 - these 4 items were all launched with the following title:
"Vintage Primitive looking painted GATELEG TABLE /CHERRY"

The 5th 'duplicate' item has the same title as your original listing:
160024892009 - This item is titled: "Circa 1850's Primitive painted GATELEG TABLE /CHERRY"

Do you recall making two different versions of this listing with the alnernate title?
eBay shows those two items as having thier title edited at some point, but your master copy in Vendio for both of those items show the same title as the one on eBay. If thats true, it would seem that one item was launched and duplicated once, and 4 seperate items were listed under a different title than the original.

Christopher

It is all the same listing. I did the original auction, then a potential bidder emailed me and asked me which of the 3 auctions were the one that was original. I checked and indeed there were 3 auctions. I got in touch with ebay, and they told me to cancel immediately to receive fee refunds. I did. A few hours later, another auction appeared (number 4). I contacted ebay again, received refunded fees, and went into the auction and revised the title line. Instead of revising, it relisted the auction with the new title line (auction #5). Back to ebay, refunded fees, and here we are. Ebay blames vendio, vendio says it may not be their fault, and once again, caught in the middle is me, the one paying the bills. hope this all makes sense.
