Does anyone have any information about this company. Someone contacted me "Eric" becasue I sold a few household items off ebay, he sent me to the site xreturns.com and I sent the money via PayPal in April and received no merchandise, sent several email via "return receipt" and I get nothing.

I signed a complaint with Paypal but they have not given me an answer yet.

What I really want to do is get this guy off the internet before he does ithis to more people.

I got customer shut down from one hosting company, and now I am closing him down at his new place, I am also contacting his local police department and Post office for mail fraud.

If anyone would like to help or join in on this, you can post your emails or call his local Post office also.

I thought these guys were located on the east coast??? Florida or something! Can anyone confirm this??? This address you have listed is very close to where I live. I can check it out if you like. Also, can you please tell me how you used "whois"??? I would love to use that.

thanks

It would appear that this "ripoff artist"
has been operating for quite some time.

See complaints at:

I, too, have asked for a refund from
PayPal, but have not heard anything yet.

You said you contacted his local Post
Office, etc. Could you publicly post
names, addresses, and phone numbers of
all officials you have contacted, so
that the rest of us can do the same?

Thanks! Dan

I got scammed by this Eric guy. The address I had was Tennessee. Paypal did do an investigation but unfortunately for me the guy had no money in his back account so I was out $110.00! Now the "friend" of my husband who split this money with us and convinced us to try this (I was pretty sure it was a scam but what it?.....)is slandering us saying we are thieves.

I think what irritates me is that after finally finding this earlier post I discovered that people had already had this guy run off Paypal but 5 months later I got busted by him, paid thru Paypal and he had the same user name! Paypal claims they will protect us but they DON'T! If they did he wouldn't have still been a user with the same userid and taking our money and screwing us! Sometimes I wonder if Paypal is a partner of his.

As you can tell I am very angry over this and feel stupid, and that it is my fault because I believed it.

"oreorules" and all others:

Please e-mail to me directly @:

[email protected]

any and all information you have
concerning "Eric" or "James Crimmins"
or "www.xreturns.com". I just bought
one of these "Cyber Detective" CDs,
and I will be using it to see what I
can find out.

Once I have gathered all information, I
will contact his local police and file a
complaint. I will also contact the IRS
to ask them if he has been paying taxes
on his illegally gained money. I will
also contact his local city to determine
if he has obtained a business license.
If I can show the Postal Service was used
in any way, then I will file a Postal
Fraud complaint. Does anyone else have
any ideas for pursuing him?

One posting on this board discussed
"shutting down" his web site. Whoever
did that once, please keep an eye on
him, and shut him down again if necessary.

OREORULES: Please forward ALL information
about your experiences with PayPal, and
what you found out about this person
being expelled from PayPal in the past.
If this is true, I would suspect we have
"recourse" against PayPal for doing this.

Thanks! [email protected]

On 4/20/2001 I tried to get my money back thru Paypal becasue it was only 2 weeks since I sent the money to this guy, Paypay took 30 days to respond to me and told me I was out of luck - they can't retrieve my money.

I contacted all ISP as this guy was switching from company to company and finally had him kicked off of every new ISP her went to. I then contacted the Tishomingo Police dept and spoke to Chief Deputy Rodney Pannell (662) 438-6302, he was aware of the situation with this person and informed me the case is now being handled by the Tishomongo FBI. He gave me a Office Bullwinkle at the FBI (662) 842-9411 to contact. I contacted Officer Bullwinkle at the FBI and he told me this person is now begin processed thru the system and not allowed to even own a computer, but he did somehow get back on the computer and took my money. The officer told me this guys family is gathering all names and numbers and amounts of money he stole and they are trying to pay back the people he took money from. I gave the officer my name/number and amount of $ I lost to giver to his family and they never contacted me. I am going to call officer Bullwinkle again to see about the case again and I suggest everyone who lost money do the same.

Hi, I have had experience with this guy also, had him investigated thru' square trade on ebay and paypal--Paypal says I'm out of luck--no $$ in his account. What burns me, is that he was kicked off ebay 4 days before the auctions I bid on ended, yet they let the auctions end anyway--he had about 100 running at a time.

For some reason--Paypal never took my last 2 payments to him out of my account (I won 4 auctions), so at least I'm only out $82 dollars. I've kindof given up pursuing this--a lesson to be learned.

I complained to paypal back in August of 2000, prior to the gurantees that paypal set up. They closed the account a few dasy leter.
I turned them in to the Loacl District Attorney and The US Mails. The original Company was located in Tishomingo. MS
The company name was Rock Bottom Sales.
I see that there web page is not up.
So Maybe something has finallyhappened to Xreturns.

PAYPAL
Has anyone figured out a way to get money back from PayPal? What is their current policy regarding "chargebacks"? If I call my credit card company and report that I never received any merchandise, is PayPal going to suspend my account, or what?
I have been told that PayPal suspended these XRETURNS people about a year ago, then let them open a new account. It was during their second "round" of the scam that they got my money. It would seem to me that PayPal bears some responsibility.

Mr. Whitehead and Mr. McGee were apparently running more than one "scam". The FBI got involved; when I called them, they put me in contact with a Postal Inspector. He told me about 250 victims were identified.
Mr. Whitehead will be serving 14 months in prison, then 3 years probation. Mr. McGee is awaiting sentencing. I only lost $40, so I am not going to pursue any attempt to get my money back from them. However, if you lost more, and you would like to contact the Postal Inspector, e-mail me at: [email protected], and I will provide
further information.
