Hi - I just listed 2 books on Amazon auctions as a test.I did not choose any of their special fee-based features. I did enter ISBNs to use the cross-list feature, but when I check the Amazon database, my auctions do not appear. They say something in the help file about having to hit reload to make them come up. Huh? What customer is going to do that? Is this really only a feature they support if you pay extra for something?

Don't worry. It will show up there. And yes, Cross-links is the #1 best way to drive customers to your auctions on Amazon.

I'm not sure if the crosslinks really drive buyers to the listings.

I list a lot of items in one category and usually when I reload my batch I get most of my listings on the first page of this category. Now the last time I loaded a batch, none of my listings appeared on the first page and my sales have dropped like a rock. This tells me that more sales are made by people browsing the categories rather than crosslinks.

I'm talking about zshop listings, not auctions. I still haven't figured out what the order system is in the listings. Why would my listings appear on the first page some times, and other times not? There have always been other listings already in this category and mine would just push the others down on the page. Now mine are added to the end of the list on the last page!

My auction listings move nearer the top the longer they stay in one category. When I move the item to another category for more exposure, the item falls to the bottom of the new category listing.

If I spend a nickel on the last day, the next time the item comes up, it is nearer the top the next time around than if I just leave it alone.

I am definitely finding that spending a nickel or so to feature it on the last day helps. This did not used to be so, but it is now.

I believe there are more folks browsing and bidding on Amazon now, or they like my stuff better now???

Most of my winners are from TAKE-IT pricing. That was one of the greatest things that Amazon implemented!
