Amazon Auctions and zShops have been down for over 3 hours now. I wonder what they are up to.

Well, I'd certainly rather they go down in the wee hours of the morning instead of 8:30 PM EDT as ebay has been doing EVERY night for almost 2 weeks !
Amazon at least puts up a notice, Ebay, you just get error messages.

I know, but I was in the middle of listing. Thought I could wait them out, but ended up going to bed...

Yikes
How long were they down? When I got UP this morning it was closed. (7am est.10/27) I dallied around with other sites and gave up around 8:30 as they still weren't open.

Well, we figured out what they are up to.

The chopped off 6 of the 9 crosslinks and screwed up relistings.

Not bad for an evening's work!

.......and they broke the auto-relisting feature.

... and they broke the Payments Transactions

According to my "Recent Transactions" (the Your Payments Transactions page) at Amazon.com, I have not had any transactions in the last 30 days. But, yesterday and every day before that I had lots of transactions. Where did they go, she wonders out loud???

Needless to say, things appear to be going to hell in a handbasket at Amazon.com. What next?

Anyone else having this particular problem at Amazon.com?

Having the same problems. When relisting myself since the auto relist is down, I also got messages at times thanking me for updating my account and removing items/auctions. It'll be interesting to see what is left after all this mess.

Call them - (800) 201-7575

They say that they have now assigned a tech crew to the auto-relist problem and expect it to be fixed by the end of the day. I recommend that if you are relisting by hand, keep a list of the items you list so that when the problem is fixed, you can delete any double posts.

My Opening Soon page has many many auctions in it. YAY! Looks like the auto-relist problem has been fixed.

Here's something a little scary. This morning I got a Please Ship Now email because someone had purchased and paid for a zShops listing. BUT . . . I had not previously gotten the first email--the You Have Sold Item . . . .

So I went out of curiousity to my zShops Items Sold and someone had purchased another item yesterday which I had not gotten a You Have Sold email on. I just got off the phone with Amazon tech support, but they didn't seem to concerned about the problems with the email notification--SCARY!

Down again.

Hopefully they are either fixing problem or rolling back to the previous (working) version.

And you cant get into the the payment center to just *check* if anything may have sold, since you didn't get the email.

Oh this is scary!

I'M REALLY FRIED!
I went in to send a customer a refund of $9 and it TELLS ME I'M LOCKED OUT! so... I have a customer waiting for a refund and their screwup is going to cost me a bad feedback.
I am still missing 255 of my auctions, this represents about a weeks work full time noooooooo I'm not happy with the "improvements" , so they can give us less cross links and encourage us to spend more money on their features.
This does not seem to be a professional way to do business. Amazon does not seem to care how ticked off we are since we are just sellers and dependant on them.... What does everyone else think about this?

I'll tell you what I think about it- as long as Amazon eBay or any other place is getting your money every month, what do they care if you call or email them every day, or hour for that matter.

A business is about money. If you're still there handing over the money every month to them, they'll string you along forever.

The only way to get a corporation's attention is by the pocketbook. You are part of a Market, not an individual. With 20 million "customers", who cares if 1 or 10,000 are PO'ed ? I suppose it would have to approach 500,000 before anyone would even notice !

My sales have been absolutely dead since Friday night when Amazon started to have it's latest round of troubles. Any other sellers out there having the same problem? I'd really like to hear from other users to see what your experience has been like this week.

As for the payments problem, I have had to turn people over to Paypal to get payments in and refunds issued. Be advised that even international bidders can now use Paypal.
