I just had a customer contact me and say that Paypal has credited my account. After I explained that I have no account with them ( my husband does but the money goes to an address in the states ( his mom) and it is of no use to me.) she stated that paypal said I didn't need an account, paypal is available for Canadians. How can paypal pay me if I have not signed up with them. I can't imagine that they are going to send me a money order. Is the customer trying to cheat me or is it just paypal's misinformation to this customer. Thanks for any advice given. Suzanne

The money is there waiting for you. If you register, you will be able to get it. But for Canadians, it will go as a credit on your credit card. Unless you have access to a US base bank account.

THanks for the advice (Cimfra) Much appreciated! I have had trouble from paypal in the past stating that they have paid me and I never received payment and then the customer never sent off the payment in the form of a cheque and of course I had sent the book. Will check out this site as from you have said , paypal is accepting Canadians now! THanks again. Suz

But it will also cost you 2.6% plus some other fee to get the funds transfered to your Canadian credit card.

THanks Zazzie! I didn't know that and what with featured auctions ( high price) not able to use 1 click , therefore having to pay closing fees etc. Pay pal doesn't seem worth it. Though I use billpoint on e-bay which is very nice for my high items ( few and far between!) THanks again for all the advice. Much much appreciated. Suzanne
