I am outraged at Amazon for doing this to us, International Sellers! I was flabbergasted when I received their email stating if I wanted to continue selling at their site, I would have to get a US account! What???? How can they state how I take payments when I already pay my fee's to list on their auction house?? I feel they are asking for something they have no right to ask for! It should be up to the seller how they would like to be paid by the buyer--not up to Amazon.com! And in my eyes, to make it even worse--Amazon does not even give you clear "cut and dried" instructions on how to go about opening a US Account. I felt the instructions were poorly researched. I checked the links that were given-and was not impressed with what I had to "DO" to open a US Bank Account. I found it thouroughly INSULTING to all International Sellers. I have started at Ebay and I have found it much easier to list there--and the hits and traffic on my auctions have been splendid! I just wish I sold at Ebay before, as I do not have any positive feedback base like I do at Amazon. OH well.......you have to start somewhere....

Hi Bschneid: I am lovebooks2 on amazon! I too, looked at the email sent by amazon and was overwhelmed at the hoops I would have to do to join a "us " banks. I started this summer on ebay and am glad I did! I found some items went very high there and this november I listed 2 sets of identical books and they sold much better on ebay. Basically I think amazon liked auctions at first and then decided not enough money ~ switched to z shops and now marketplace. Hope to see you at ebay! Suz 23 (only here)

We are in the US, one of the reasons we left Amazon was the treatment of International buyers we sold to who tried to use one click.

It doesnt make sense to me to reject Canadians because we are neighbors. Dont take it personal, Amazon offers a guarantee on their transactions, it could have to do with your Canadain customs etc that effects Amazons Insurer (A-Z Guarantee).

International buyers had many problems thinking they could use one click, bidding, then getting rejected by Amazon.

Amazon needs to be a bit more Diplomatic if they want to advertise International sales and have feedback amendment like Yahoo which rules in my book.

I offer international shipping, Amazon made it impossible to keep my commitment to these wonderful buyers who are the best bidders around, so we left. =p < sticking tongue out to Amazon for You. Bad Amazon, Bad!
