With the new requirements coming into play within the next couple of days, I just thought of something. We know Marketplace is all automatic (regarding payment collection from buyer). If a seller selects 'Amazon Payments only' for auctions/zshops, is it also automatic, or does one still have to deal with all the emails to buyers. Anything that can streamline the process is good in my books (not to mention that Amazon has got to be one of the worst places for non-payment from buyers, so automating it would be a BIG improvement).

Amazon Payments only is pretty much automatic. I never have to email buyers, and I sell on auctions, zshop, and marketplace. I would love to see Ebay implement this type of payment system.
I find that I have very few deadbeats on Amazon, but a lot on Ebay.

I appreciate your desire to not have to send e-mail to customers, but receiving "I have shipped" notices from sellers is comforting. My main irritation with zShop sellers is that they seem as a group to not send them. I get ship notices from Yahoo merchants. And given Yahoo! Wallet, it isn't much harder to pay them than it is to use Amazon Payments. Your desire not to interact with customers may be costing you customers.

You can select Amazon payments "only" for Auctions and zShops but buyers may decide not click all the way through to complete payment. Thus far, buyers have the option to make payment at the time of placing the auctions take-it price or zShop purchases. Or, buyers are prompted to use the Amazon payments when they receive notice from Amazon about winning the auction or purchasing on zShops. Emails may still be required if buyers do not pay immediately.

Since I started using Amazon payments my deadbeats have actually dropped down. It takes some of the goof element out of bidding.
I just don't understand what anyone would have against this system of payment???
