I've just gotten my first two payments from customers who are using Amazon payments and .........how shall I say this delicately.....well, I can't, lets just say IT SUCKS!!!! The first buyer clicked right through ignoring all my terms and my EOA notice and paid for her purchase at US book rate shipping then asked me to ship internationally. I had to send a second invoice.....wait 3 days....and deal with 3 additional emails back and forth with her. My guess is that she'll leave a negative saying I "raised the price". My second payment was from a bidder who emailed after the payment went through to ask me to ship to a different address....in a different state....under a different name. Once again, more headaches, emails and wasted time and I've just been set up for another negative. Oh yeah, both buyers totally ignored and bypassed the automated site that I use which files their shipping address and that I also use to do my bookkeeping. I am VERY FRUSTRATED AND THIS IS A LOT OF EXTRA WORK THAT I AM PAYING FOR!!! MORE MONEY AND MORE WORK, THAT IS NOT OK IN MY BOOK!!!!! I HATE THIS!
Now you can all post to tell me how wonderful Amazon payments are and how easy it is. By the way, they are also HOLDING all my money for 2 weeks, I can't get in to make a deposit initially till after 2 weeks. Of course they aren't doing anything in that time period, they don't test it with the bank or anything, they just wait.

That is odd because I can have money transferred daily if I choose.

I choose to go through the extra work to keep the International buyers.
It can be a pain dealing with them especially when they don't follow directions. But, International buyers often pay top price for some of my items.
AP is not perfect but I prefer it over all the alternatives. Just my 2 cents

Well, because I just signed up I don't have the option to request a deposit until after my two week "waiting" period. And I also sell quite a bit internationally and have never had a problem, they either use Bidpay or send cash.

Bummer, I forgot about the two week waiting period on new accounts. Hang in there, it'll get better.
I have removed my shipping international option from most of my marketplace items. Often times, the bigger, heavier, and more expensive items cost considerably more to ship than what Amazon allows.
