Hello,
Lately most of my Marketplace book sales have been to Europe and Japan. The shipping allowance is, as you know, $12.00. Does that mean we ship the book air rate even though it says surface mail on the letter that has the buyer's shipping info? International surface mail can take as long as 6 weeks I understand. I guess I question why the letter says surface rate as opposed to just saying air rate since they sent $12.00.

I ship most of these Global Priority Flat Rate for $9.00. The customer's appreciate the speed and reliability. Even though it says surface mail, I feel they have paid for this service. On really heavy books that do not fit into the flat rate envelope I simply list on Z-shops with the appropriate shipping.
Selling books, music, videos, art on the internet...Thank you for your business! Marilyn

I also ship Global Priority. If the item will not fit in the Global Priority envelope, then I don't check the international box.

Approx 30 percent of my zshop/auction sales are to International Customers. This is FAR greater percentage than ebay sales. I think International Custoimers like the AP payment system.
