Hi all - Hope you're having better luck than I am lately. I normally sell 8-10 books on Marketplace per day but this weekend (Sat. & Sun.) I've sold a total of 3!! I had 3 more come through early Sun. afternoon ('You have a buyer" but never received the 'You have sold" email.
I guess nothing's wrong but it just seems so odd. It's usually very consistent.

the second email will come when they completed the credit card charges,so sit tight and wait, you ship without that second notice, you lose!!
someone ordered an expensive book from me and amzn never manage to complete the transaction,so i cancel it and the same foreign guy ordered again, amzn still cannot complete the transaction and so i never ship.
that guy may be from russia and the book is about paintings in german guggenheim musuem,i would have lost the book plus shipping overseas-it is a big book.
check your competition if your sales is slow, several big discounter booksellers have set up shop on marketplace!!

I had a great weekend of sales. (Sat 10 sales, Sunday 14 sales and Monday I had 22. Did not get the "You have a Marketplace Buyer" e-mails or the Ship Now, but I go to my payments file and print out the sale. I cut the page right after the total price and put the top half with my sale for a packing slip and I enclose a pre printed note stating that I never received the shipping notice from Amazon and regarding no "packing slip" This happens all the time. I always check my payment page several times a day.

CS1273: how many books do you have listed to support those sales? Just curious. My inventory is low right now due to putting a lot up on FLD on ebay, so Amazon sales are sporadic.

some one said you need 1000 books to get daily sales.
i dont have that many books but i notice competition has heated up,along with more individuals ,there are some big discount sellers who have large quantity on hands.
you almost have to avoid them or price yours less which is not always possible

I price mine higher and I guess people think they are better books 'cause my sales are steady...... welll usually steady.
If I see 6 listed at from $5 to $12.99 I'll put mine in at $14.00. Works for me. Plus careful descriptions.
If I see 138 listed from 75 cents to $2.99 I pack book away and hope next time situation is reversed.

books do move fast on amzn, those big discount booksellers have many copies but they sell thru their own outlets as well,so they can be sold out fast.
they are also on 1/2.com
