Wow. I didn't know you could even get a thread deleted.

Time to start backups on AW threads, I guess, before the data vanishes.

AW deletes lots of stuff. Just place a link to Spare Dollar's homepage sometime.

Yes they will delete threads if the orignator whines like a little baby and spouts official community guidlines.

One was deleted previous to that one, in which a little whiner started some crap but couldn't take the heat either...

That is why it is not a good idea to post links to auctions, but I do know how to get a thread deleted now...

AW has deleted many threads over the years and also since the mods left.

Earlier this year many threads were nuked because of some self-appointed board monitors who whined.

As I have stated before, if someone posted a link to my auctions and it had nothing to do with the discussion at hand (just because they were being an idiot and wanted to cause me problems) I would report it also and ask for the personal info to be deleted.

This board is a very, very tame board. Some of the other AW boards can get very wild. Dozens of AW posters have been suspended since the Mod Squad left. Of course they come right back on another credit card and email account.

So it would be ok to start a new topic and say "hey look at this moron's auction(s)"

and post the link Kiara?

What is good for the goose is good for the gander... SEEMS LIKE SOMEONE COULDN'T TAKE THE HEAT.

Robertsmithson had that moron pegged and made him sweat... was joyous to watch. That is the reason I now save certain interesting threads before edits or deletes

twelvepole, Why do you keep singling me out? I have never started a topic saying to look at a moron's auctions.

The fact that you keep calling certain posters morons shows how low you can go on these boards and just for that you should have your azz booted off. Why don't you try treating some of us with respect or just put us on ignore?

LOL, sorry Kiara didn't mean to single you out, you just made a statement and I answered that was all.
some of you are on ignore

It just amazes me that people who belittle others on their auctions or styles of auctions are afraid to have their own up for scrutiny. That is not standing the heat.

I peronally don't think any auction numbers or links should be posted, but I am as guilty as the next I guess because I have looked at and commented on those threads, however, it is not right that just because a person is an AW poster they can have their thread removed. ALL threads should be removed with auction links.
But I do see your point, it is fun as long as it is not me...

Slabholder.... please bet tooltimes...

If an AW poster is uncomfortable with info that is revealed about them I think it is their right to ask that it be removed.

It is one thing to comment on a seller's TOS or picture but what is the point of posting a community member's auction ID just to cause trouble? I have been here enough years to see how whacko some posters can get on these boards and then there are the lurkers who can also cause auction interference.

Also, what is the purpose in continuing to call a fellow community member a 'moron' just because you don't approve of their style of writing? Do you gain some inner satisfaction by doing this? But then you did say it was joyous to watch so I guess that answers my question.

I can't find this user named "us" I have been disrespectful to?

Who is "us"?

Just put me on ignore Kiara if I bother you so much...

Also I seem to recall this same "community member" using those same exact words about someone else, so it's ok for them to do the same thing? Sorry I don't do double standards.

So I guess "wolfpack" means something to you then... you have been posting here so long.

I don't see that the other community member belittles you every chance he gets? But I don't agree that anyone should call anyone else a moron either.

As for putting you on ignore, I have never put another member on ignore and have no intentions to do so. I have always found that all have some value in their opinions. I have no ill feelings towards you or anyone else here.

So I guess "wolfpack" means something to you then... you have been posting here so long.

I have no idea what you mean by that comment but I have heard the term "wolfpak" used quite often. I have always done my own thing here. Sometimes I agree with posters, other times I disagree with the very same poster. It's just the way it goes, same as real life.

So if they are not a community memeber then their auctions are fair game?

Kiara that statement is very contradictory, by posting any sellers auction, their id is now known and what about trouble to them?

I hope you see that it should work for everyone equally.

I will admit funny ones from Germany or any of the foreign sites don't bother me. I can't read German anyway.

Discussing auctions is good, posting links to auctions if bad.

People should learn to copy and paste. So what if someone finds the auction, at least they had to look, but still the auction is not directly linked.

When I see links to auctions that are posted it is mostly because of a humorous auction, keyword spamming or an anal TOS. Other sellers may get ideas to also do a comical auction or they learn what not to do in their terms of sale. Others have learned lots about keyword spamming and hopefully no harm is done to the seller and I can't see that there was ever that intention.

If someone reports the auction after seeing it here because it violates ebay's terms that is the chance the seller takes.

The day the other community member's auction ID was posted it wasn't relevent to the discussion and was only done for harrassment. I disagree strongly with that. And then for some to gloat over it for weeks afterwards just makes no sense to me at all.

But that's just my opinion.

I can see we are going to have to agree to disagree on this subject Kiara.

I guess you know what the poster's was thinking when they posted that eh?

You should try playing the lottery if your intuition is that good.

I think that poster was trying to make a point and was successful.
The other poster could of just laughed off and forgot about... let the BEAT GO ON... so to speak.

But nope, got the thread deleted.
So I guess someone couldn't take the heat...

Personally I think the auctions looked pretty good, so didn't see the problem, would of been some free advertising without being self promoting.

Used to you had to inform the sellers before posting an auction, that should have to happen again.

Takes very little effort to just copy and paste a TOS or auction description to start a discussion. If the the auction is illegal, why not ask the seller here to see what they have to say?
