If this just happened a couple of months ago and before that you had a good lifestyle, don't you have material things that you can sell on ebay? That's what many others have done when they have lost their jobs. You still have a computer.
I hate to sound skeptical but there are numerous scams on the internet and they seem to increase at this time of the year.
I remember a few years ago someone on ebay was begging for help and when people checked back on her she was selling all the goodies on ebay that people had given her and was just using the people to get free stock.
If you are seriously in need of help, my heart goes out to you but aren't there organizations in your area that help the needy?
In other words, how can we believe your story and separate you from all the scam artists?

My suggestion where else to go- AW has a "Wanted" board where you can post things you want.
Since you believe in Santa, then go to bed on Christmas Eve and expect Santa to deliver presents, but warning, don't be shocked to find nothing there on Christmas, he hasn't been delivering for the last few Centuries, maybe a bad back after doing it for so long.
Believe me, your kids can skip presents. Have a family day and play some board games, rent some movies to watch together. Kids learn from their parents, if you send the message that Christmas is about receiving gifts, you're sending the wrong message.
Now you want us to bail you out because you didn't prepare for unemployement? Why not just learn from your mistake, pay the price and move on. It doesn't make sense to beg. Let go of your pride, it's holding you back from being yourself.
A final note, the Marines have a Toys for Tots, and many businesses have toy donation programs. Watch your tv news or newspaper to hear about these.

stopwhining, she already explained she lost her job. Is it safe to assume she bid and won, then lost her job and couldn't afford to pay? It happens. If I was in that situation I'd rather hold my money than honor the bid.

Hmmmmm,same three posts.
ebay outlook, yahoo board, other online auctions.
our boss quit his full time job and took over the business, and found it more profitable for him to pay "his own people", $5.50 an hour under the table. He could have 4 for the price of our jobs, and skip all the tax's.
Smart move, if he is now running the show full time then why would he want to keep the high priced help?
We are financial broke and had no time to prepare for this. We have looked for work but have had no luck thus far. We are well educated and degreed
This just tells me that you were in the hole long before this came about. Sounds like you were living a good life style that you can not afford.
If this post is for real I would seek financial council so that you can egress this situation.

WOW WOW WOW - I can not believe this.
I have been selling on ebay for years. My husband had a good job, until June of this year. Since then things have changed. We all know that the summer and ebay are hurting times to begin with and then for that to be our only income. I list as much as I can, ALL BY MYSELF, to get the money coming in. Kids help with what they can. My husband reads job board after job board on the net all day long. I never expected him to be out of work this long. Things are very tight.
Anyway, I have 2 kids, too. They know that dad is out of work. I have always told them that if they do not believe in Santa then there is no Santa but if they believe in him, he will be there for them. Now, I am not sure what Christmas will bring, but the tree will go up this weekend, but no outside lights. My 11 yr said all she wants for Christmas is Dad to get a job.
I would never ever think of BEGGING on the net for help. We will make due with what we have. Well, I hope all works out for you but I could not live with myself!

there are jobs out there. they may not pay well or even enough to live in on but it's a job...
I don't feel sorry for anyone who sits around typing or surfing on the computer instead of wearing out shoe leather looking for work....it doesn't matter what a person worked at before or what their education level is...
there is no shame in flipping burgers or being a trash collector....there is shame in sitting idly by whining while your family and children go without.
my hubby and I raised 9 children with him working in a scrap yard and me in a restaurant until they were all in school...then I went back to college to get my education...
our children may not have had designer clothes or the most wanted toys, but they always had plenty of love, food and they always always had a christmas...you just start shopping on December 26th to make sure of it.
there are hundreds of programs out there to help out and if hubby is too proud to ask then tell him to hit the door and come home with cash.
