Stopwhining: I will assume that as usual you did not comprehend something in the post.
The true beauty is that they did not list EVEN ONE of the other selling or buying accounts that really belong to me.

They must have the Apple Dumpling gang on this case.
I checked the domain for one of the email addresses they have for me. The domain has been registered to the same person since 1995. I plugged in the owners contact email and it is registered on ebay to an id with Zero feedback. It is currently registered user. 3 of the email addresses they have for me go to this domain.
I have always wondered what makes them think they have connected different user id's. Now I am really puzzled.

Well, I just don't get it. You seem to be a nice person and a good seller.
And I've been lurking here for quite a while. I think you've created a enemy
somehow. It's obvious someone at Ebay seems to have it in for you.
Maybe you should just create a online store and hope for the best. Paypal
seems to have a pretty good cart system. I use some of their services on
a couple of my websites. It's a shame when a decent Ebay seller gets
pushed off the service.

I do have online stores and they do very well for me.
If ebay were my real source of income, I would be very angry by now. I am just puzzled and I can't rest until puzzles are solved...

okay I have an idea for you. If you don't get any satisfaction from eBay. Pull the contact information for the seller Pierre and write him a letter and see if he can help you. Maybe if he finds out his company is harassing you they might stop. Evidently one of your competetors has it in for you and they just won't stop. It seems like you have enough evidence and with their customer service so on top of everything you need to go farthur into the company. At least it gives you something to do when you can't do any listing. I wish you Good Luck

shop4shoes,
i have to read your post three times to figure what your real message is.
so they did not list your other CURRENT buying/selling id on ebay but managed to link you with 14 previous suspended id.
14 is a large number.
ebay uses a host of factors such as name, address, bank account, credit card, driver license and IP address and more to determine if two or more user ids are related.
once again 14 is a big number.
how would you like if i post this-
the mineapolis police just accused me of shoplifting a bicycle in the mall which is not true, but how come they did not find out i just killed my mother in law??

Well, it would make about as much sense as most of the other stuff you post.
14 is a large number.
ebay uses a host of factors such as name, address, bank account, credit card, driver license and IP address and more to determine if two or more user ids are related.
once again 14 is a big number.
They don't have my driver's license number and why would they. They don't have my bank account numbers. When the oldest suspended ID was created, I did not have an isp. I didn't even have a computer. My isp has changed numerous times over the years. They would be unable to connect credit card info unless, all of them were from the same person with the same address and if they had 14 different credit cards. Although to be fair some of the id's were created before ebay required a credit card and only 5 of them have any activity. The others are all zero feedback.
So what is your point...besides 14 being a big number?

When did ebay start asking for driver's license numbers?
What I got from shop4's post is that they have connected her to 14 ids that are not hers. If they use "a host of factors", ips and credit cards and such, they should have found the ids that are hers.
14 isn't that large a number especially if some of the ids are connected to one domain. Somone on here had been suspended for having 20 something ids that they said were not theirs.
My neighbor got the boot (pun intended shop4 ) for having 8 suspended ids. My neighbor had never been on the net until 2002 and the ids they kicked her off for had been suspended years before.
Whatever they are using to "catch fraud", it has some serious flaws.
Shop4 you need to start looking into an irate ebay employee or competitor.

Out of lurking...
Shop4shoes, my observations are that it may have something to do with this board. I think I was able to figure out one of your user id's from some of your posts. Others probably have too. If a cut-throat competitor reads this board and you have posted something they don't like, you could have made a persistant enemy.
The id that I think is yours has great prices and your shoes look beautiful from the photos. Do a search for someone that is selling similar items at much higher starting prices. Those are my suspicions.
Back to lurking....

Just wondering...what would make ebay suspend a bunch of zero feedback ids and some with very good feedback. No fraud alarms there.
Maybe the original suspended id did not pay their fees?
Just a thought.

soshoeme (love the name, by the way) has a good point. Could be a competitor out there that wants to run you out of town. It's sad, but some people are just plain ruthless! I'd take that advise and start checking autions similar to yours. What a scary thought. . .someone could be vindictive enough to lurk around the boards just to ruin your business. Shame!

Sorry for those of you that didn't understand my post.
Ebay suspended one of my selling ids. They said it was connected to 14 other ids that had been previously suspended. The suspended ids either have no feedback or very good feedback. However, none of them are mine.
I do have other selling and buying ids, but they didn't list any of those. None of them have ever been suspended.
If they are using " a host of factors", they need to improve their methods.

Is there perhaps a seller ID that is similar to yours? Maybe someone at Ebay did an oops and typed the ID wrong? I once had that happen at the bank when a teller transposed two of the numbers on my bank account. My account bounced, while someone else thought they hit the mother load. Just another thought.

seller registration is more stringent now,so you dont want to lose your privilege of selling on ebay.
yes, ebay selling in certain categories are getting cutthroat, say electronics

I originally thought they had me confused with someone else. Especially after getting a warning for having surcharges. Now I don't know.
I also going to start searching for items similar to mine. Some of the powersellers in the footwear category are ruthless. I have had problems with some of them in the past.
I can't wait to see what ebay says. Like I said: I hate unsolved puzzles....

I got an apology this morning from ebay about wrongfully accusing me of having surcharges in my auctions. I also got an apology about ending my auctions for the alleged linking violations. Still no word on the suspension.
Soshoeme, thanks for the heads up. I did some searches and found 4 sellers selling similar or same items. One of those sellers, I have had numerous problems with in the past. Making a long story short: she used to email my customers, steal photos and descriptions and actually called up a supplier and tried to get them to stop selling to me. They didn't. They found out which distributer was selling to her and cut that distributer off. She really went into overdrive then.
Another of those sellers was using photos from some of my auctions. She isn't any longer. MUHHHAHHAHAHAAAHHAAAA!

Good news. While you've got someone's attention (hopefully) can you ask them about your theory that you're being stalked? This can't be the first time this has happened. At the very least, they should be able to flag your account so it's not shut down again by baseless accusations.

I got the following:

Based on the information you have provided, I have reviewed your situation. It has been determined that your account cannot be
reinstated due to the evidence in our records and the nature of the policy
violation which caused the suspension of the previously suspended account.
Our records indicate that either you were allowing the previously suspended user to access our site through your account or you, yourself, owned the previously suspended account.
I emailed some of my "previously suspended accounts". I did not expect much, so I was surprised when some people responded.
One lady responded and said that she did not know why ebay suspended her account. She said that she sells on ebay under another account and has done so since 1998. The account that I wrote her about was suspended in 1997 she says.
Another guy wrote to say that ebay suspended 4 of his accounts as being previously suspended users. All four of those accounts are on the list that ebay has for me. He lives in Hawaii and claims that he has not left in years.
Someone else responded with: DON'T BOTHER ME ABOUT THOSE BAS**DS AT EBAY. I HAVE FILED A LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM AND CAN'T TALK TO ANYONE ABOUT IT. GET AN ATTORNEY.
Many of the other email addresses are invalid and email bounces back.
Also ebay gave me the email addresses of these users. Since they are not mine and I have never done business with them, didn't ebay violate some part of their privacy policy?

Your situation makes no sense.
Why would ebay suspend accounts with the feedback you have listed? Is there anything to indicate fraud from some of them?
How old are the accounts? Were they signed up for around the same time or years later?

feedback can cause an account to be suspended if it falls below -3.
most accounts with positive feedbacks are suspended for other reasons.

Yeah, but as shop4shoes said, the accounts all had zero or good feedback, not NO feedback.
It could be that they had NPBs filed against them. You can't actually SEE a NPB.
Or they were suspended for selling something that broke eBay's rules.
There ARE legitimate reasons that an account with no feedback or only good feedback can be cancelled.
I also vote that it was a competitor or someone from this board. There are some serious nutcases out there.
Some of them are probably IN HERE as well...

I emailed powersellers a few days ago. No response yet.
This gets stranger and stranger though.
Today I got an email from another of the user ids. She said that she had never been suspended. She claims that she sent ebay an email asking them to close her account. She said that if she can find the email and their response she will send it to me.
This seller was selling at the same time my id was. She stopped in 99 and I kept selling.
Strange....

Can you send your Paypal transaction ID to the seller? Sometimes the e-mails do not deliver and unless you provide a specific transaction ID it can be hard to dig up the transaction details.
Second, IMO, its not appropriate to post specific transaction issues on a public board. If this was the "shop4shoes order status forum" then its okay, but its not so keep it to e-mail please.
