Hi -

I thought someone here alluded to listing books on half.com that aren't in their database. Is there a way to do that...and is it desirable? [will the books come up by title?]

If you search by title, you MIGHT find it.

It's not a great idea unless the copy you have is EXACTLY like the ones listed, because many people are listing hardbacks under PB ISBNs or the reverse and early editions of books (where edition counts) under the ISBN of later ones.

You risk an unhappy buyer AND a returned book charge for bad descriptions.

keziak, I've found that if I just look up books by ISBN most won't be there. Definitely go into title first, it's much less hassle, then go to author. I rarely use the ISBN.

thanks, all, what I meant was, I looked them up every which way and the books are not in the database. One may simply be too old, but the other one is no older than other books I've listed.

I thought someone found a way to basically create their own entry from scratch, but I wasn't sure if the books would then show up using a title search.
