The Nikon 950 is one of the best digital cameras made, but the "built in" download system is HORRIBLE, even when you have it working right.

Best advice is to buy yourself a Compact Flash Film reader that you plug into your printer connector or even better, USB port.

Lexar http://www.digitalfilm.com sells Compact Flash cards that are great, fast and reliable that COME WITH a USB port adapter at about the same price as any other name brand CF. If you can afford it, consider going this route- I just checked their website- and a 16 MB card & reader is $70.00.

Shop around and you should be able to find a parallel port card reader for about $25.00, or a USB for around $50.00

Going this route will save you untold time and frustration. Even if the budget is really tight, I'd say put it on plastic- You will be glad you did.
