Hi all -

I had a very busy day Friday, then on Saturday I actually removed the only item I had listed so I could do something else with it. On Sunday I got some good sales and I listed a lot to get out from under my piled up inventory. I also got some half.com action (two books must have been on somebody's "wish list" because they sold instantly).

What I've noticed over the past 3 days is that the items that went into the weekend with bids, got more bids (both those that ended and those ending this week). I think only 2 items got first bids over the weekend. Wonder if that means the only buyers motivated to get on ebay were protecting their purchases?

For myself, no bidding. I had to buy a car unexpectedly, so aside from Christmas shopping, my ebay budget is GONE!

This has been the BEST weekend for me since I started back in MAY! Five items had no bids going into SAT -- then ended with 3-6 bids! Yippee!

Last few weeks have been really good. This week is continuing the trend.
Looks like auctions closing today will do well. Multiple bidders and good prices.
No complaints here.

I listed 28 items Sat. night and in the first 24 hours had 58 bids.
I listed 6 more last night....serach is down, gallery was down. Not even any lookers on those items and I listed one of them in "feature category" I'M BUMMED!

I finally figured out "preacher4u's" personal gallery trick.... but my new listings are not coming up in my "personal gallery" I'M BUMMED!!

Thank you "preacher4u" for that WONDERFUL idea. I'm sure thats how and why I received so many bids on my first 28 items, that and the fact I've been starting everything at $1.00.

packer,
The personal gallery is a great feature. I have used it for some time and I'm convinced it works.
You will find that depending on how quickly Ebay's search engines get updated it is not unusual for your thumbnails to come up in a search for up to 24 hours after listing.

Hi bitsandbobs,
Yah, I was pretty concerned that I didn't do it right when they failed to show up right away. The ones I put on Sat. night took about 5 hours to show up in "personal gallery". I was sweating it. Went to bed and got back up at 3am to check it...hehehe! Never did go back to bed.
I'm still waiting for this last batch to show up...12 hours and waiting. The announcement board says there is a "search" problem. GO FIGURE!!

Looking good so far... I listed two items on Saturday night and had a bid on each by the next morning. I listed another item on Sunday morning and had a bid within an hour and a half, and the current bid price exceeds five times the opening bid.

I listed another item last night and it has been looked at twice and isn't even showing up in search yet, though.

I'm off to list some Elvis memorabilia now.

I had the best weekend I've had in a LONG time also! I went into the weekend with lots of multiple bids. I didn't do as well on my new stuff as I usually do, but did much better on the used stuff than I thought I would. Maybe this is a sign of good things to come

The Labor Day weekend may have been good for bids since it rained almost straight through on the East Coast!

The thunderstorm yesterday fried my modem, so my 233 is in the shop for a new one. Fortunate to have a new P3 500 that was still in the box. Spent the afternoon setting it up... and I had promised myself to get started on Half.com this weekend! HA!
