Since I've gotten no response from my question about why I can't get an adult auction to launch on another AW board I'll try it here. Since ebay has forced us all to put any recent playboy or penthouse magazines in the adult only section or risk suspension I have grudgingly decided to try listing them there, now I get this error message from AW stating that the auction can't be launched due to "possible legal issues"...Say WHAT? it's a penthouse magazine for goodness sake, what is up with this? I've searched for the AW policy stating that I can't launch adult auctions thru here, but it is evading me. Is this perhaps a new policy? Anyone have a clue what might be going on? Or has it always been this way and I've just been asleep at the wheel?.
TIA

You can't launch any adult auctions from AW. I also use www.goto.com to launch my auctions & its the same thing there too. What you can do is launch the auction to a non adult category & then change your auction category.
I hate to get into the whys & tired of all the moralistic battles here so I just deal with it. Hope that helps.

comic123...thanks, thought I was going crazy, I think that the last playboy I listed I put in the general catagories and ebay moved it along with a warning. I guess I'll go back to the old fashioned way on those items.
mzalez...maybe, but the voices in my head say "sell sell SELL"...they win .

Since auctionwatch will not let me place my auctions in the adult category, I will not use them for any of my regular auctions.
Since Billpoint will not allow me to offer payment through them on adult auctions, I will not use them. (Paypal doesn't care what the transaction is, way to go!)
And unless eBay gets its act together to make the long disabled adult search engine work, I will take the rest of my auctions elsewhere too. (I have already moved over half of them.)
Adult sellers encounter senseless rules and restrictions every day. Most are made by ignorant people with more of a moral agenda than a business view. Ebay takes the fees and then undermines the bidding process every day. Visit the "undermines our bidders" thread over on eBay Soapbox for an eye and earfull on this subject.

Thanks for the tip on that "soapbox" thread Larry. It's disheartening, even though I only sell off a few adult men's magazines, it still is frustrating that there are so many roadblocks.
so where should one sell adult material with sucess, yahoo? amazon? any suggestions out there, I have a box of recent mens mags that I'm tired of looking at.
