kitsch, I do not know what the word is, but with the "s.c" underneath, I wonder if it's perhaps a company name?
What is the object? A wall lamp, perhaps? I ask because the unknown word looks something like "Wull Leumiar" and for some reason that sounds like it should mean "wall lamp."
"wull leumiar" returns no matches on several meta search engines, however. I hope someone else can be of more assistance.

From what I can find out, Guillard did some pretty snazzy castings of other artists' work during the first third of the 20th century - lots of gorgeous Deco stuff I'd adore having, but most of it is at least 3 figures and often 4.
Not fair just showing the signature. I want to see the piece!

He did some absolutely amazing stuff. I have never seen a piece so utilitarian by him. You dont have to look far to see it. I dont want to shout out advertisements, I joked about it earlier... but I don't want to cross any lines with AW. http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/[email protected]/

Wow. Very Deco in that sort of Machine Age, stainless steel way. All the other Guillard stuff I've seen (duh, like I've seen a lot) has been much more, well, organic. The glaze is dazzling. If you tell me you found it in a dumpster I'll just die.

Hi Kel. The lamp was produced by Marcel Guillard for Etling Editions (a shop that sold other artist's work) and the name of the artist who designed the lamp is "Wuilleumier". The signature looks like three "L's" but is actually an I and two L's.
