Definite upswing in bids today, and this evening, and many more hits per item
Very positive! Anyone else notice the same thing?

I noticed a BIG difference on items ending tonite and tomorrow morning! I was wondering if it was because I listed better items or because Happy Days are here again?

I noticed steady auction last week, but the holiday weekend stunk for me. I'm hoping for a rebound.

Having auctions on yahoo has helped. There are fewer sales for me over there, compared to eBay, but they happen, and the combined total is good. My items don't necessarily sell first time out, so Yahoo is a lower cost, thus lower risk venue for items that aren't snapped up right away.

Case in point. nice OLD postcard of Bixby park in los angeles. twice on ebay. three times on Yahoo (which automatically handled the relists). finally sold. Were all that time spent on eBay, I would have no profit. Had I not listed on Yahoo, my only other choice would have been to sell it at cost or less in a lot.

I have a new eBay policy. One strike and you're out -- and onto Yahoo.

With the summer holidays finally over and the kids headed back to school I'm hoping for the traditional upswing in bidding activity leading up to the all important end of year holidays.

Of course it depends upon what you are selling, but there are quite a few people who start looking around on eBay for the special something for a special someone.

I sell things that are very affordable. Even so, I was pleasantly surprised at how well several of them did. Well, actually two were a lot higher than normal.
I just hope I actually get paid.

Tonight is not so great - only had 2 items over $100.00 but the last week has been busier with more bids on dutch auctions and mor multiple bids. I think it is finally picking up.

Yes, the long-awaited end of summer is here when bids are supposed to pick up. I've been waiting for 10 weeks. Hope everybody out there SURVIVED THE SUMMER SLUMP.

I hope so, I just started listing again after a few summer months off at eBay, although I have listed at other sites.

It's always good to hear when others are having success, but could you mention at least generically what you sell? Clothes? Antiques? CD's?

I sell books and things have been perking along steadily. I have more listed than usual so I have more with no bids, but that is often the case until the last day.
