I have about 500 comic books all late 70's early 80's... but don't know how to grade these things.
I've done closed auction searches on individual pieces, they redemtion seems to be moderate to sparingly high. so thats great !! however..
are they worth more if sold in a lot.. say same serise even if they are not numeric?
should I just try to sell the whole bunch as a lot? or piece by piece?
I know nothing about comic books and if questions start popping up in my mail folder, all I'd be able to say is, "ugh not sure"
Are collectors aware of what it is based on a scan of the front cover alone? I certainly do no want to act like an expert, and I would for surely disclaim my niativity in the ad.
I kind of disengaged with whether to embark of this endeavor because of my lack of knowledge.. nor do I want to spend alot of time trying to understand. this will be just cleaning out the closet type sale.
Any info from exprienced will be much abliged

Comics can be a complicated thing to sell- some series/chatacter are worth more than others so it would be better to sell individually. Others are virtually worthless so you should sell as a lot. I know that doesn't help.
Go find yourself a Wizard Magazine-available on any news stand (usually polybagged- full title Wizard the Guide to comics.)
Every issue has a price guide and some grading information (not a lot however.)
Comics buyers for the most part are an educated lot and know what they're looking for. Scans of about 100K should be enough to show any cover flaws. Describe any interior damage- Ink marks, bent pages, loose pages etc.
Actual grading is tricky, most ebay sellers over grade- I grade conservatively and have never had a complaint.
Hopefully the Wizard site mentioned above will have more on grading-I haven't the time to explain this properly-sorry.
