Well it's Friday morning here in S.E. Georgian and it's raining again, been raining all week just about. Will be glad when it gets nice again so I can go treasure hunting. I did go for a couple hours yesterday morning though it was not raining at the time it was a dreary day. I bought myself a new toy, a White's Spectrum XLT metal detector (top of the line) and was testing it out. Works wonderful! Afterwards I went for breakfast at my favorite watering hole than headed for the local library to do some research of this area (to obtain current maps and antique maps) to compare for when I go treasure hunting. Around 4 p.m. I headed home ordered chiense food (was delivred) ate that than started cropping photos and writing ads for eBay. Would you believe I fell asleep at my computer after doing about 20 of them. I think I had a nap of about 20 minutes. Haven't done this in a longggggg time. LOL Anyway continued cutting my photo's about another 30 something and this morning need to write the ads to those. I'll have about 90 something ready but am not going to upload anymore until either next Thursday or Friday or the last weekend of September. I'll keep writing ads though during that time and than start uploading them 50 at a time each day until they are all uploaded. I want a minimum of 500 lots for the month of October and keep it up once I get it going. Than after the holidays I'll most likely take a break like I do each year.

So what has everyone else been doing this week or last couple days besides eBay?

I always wanted one of those metal detectors.
I used to see guys on the beach back home using them. I like the idea of hunting for treasure or panning for gold. Have you found anything with it yet?
Nothing much going on this morning here, drizzly, ploppy kind of rain falling. Not enough to keep you from going out yard saleing but just enough to annoy you when you do. I did find two perfectly good desk chairs for 10. apiece. So comfy I may be falling asleep in them.
Not much else though. Thats okay because I only list 15 to 20 items a week. Just not a big seller I guess

The HEAT is intense here.

Sure wish some of your RAIN would come this way.

Haven't been listing that much and probably won't until after the first week in October. I am currently preparing for the RoundTop/Warrenton show in Texas. It's a great show and I expect to have a tremendous one.

Have really enjoyed getting back to doing shows and meeting people face to face. What is so wonderful about this show as compared to others - is the dealers there speak in terms of what they purchased off eBay and not what they sold. It's an entirely different atmosphere. It's twice a year in the spring and fall - and I have been 'saving' things specifically for it. So I am shooting for some record sales.

Well, THAT'S attractive!

Well it's evening and it finally stopped raining and the sun is out. Sure am glad now if it'll only stay that way I may be able to go out treasure hunting tomorrow. Just got the machine so haven't really found anything worth while yet.
