Ebay wants to put MORE suspicion on the sellers, they want to give your phone number out in EOA notices. They are trying to fight fraud by doing this?
If you have turned in a shill gang and ebay did nothing say AYE
If you have turned in a fraud report and ebay did nothing say AYE

What I would like to see here is the truth. I believe that truth is that much of the blame should be layed on safeharbor, ebay's shoulders.
If 99 percent of all transactions end satifactorily why does ebay continue to malign the sellers?

Aye to the first. Two different sellers, bidding on each other's stuff, and their auction pictures were taken on the same doily, on the same table, in the same room.
eBay said they could not find enough evidence of shill bidding.

Aye to the first one. A shill ring.
It was reported a year ago and went back and forth for weeks with multiple emails (several due to them sending me form letter responses that were totally off topic). Among other things, I gave them proof of matching phone numbers and matching addresses for seller and bidder. Safeharbor wrote that there was no rule against a "friend" bidding on a friend's auctions.
The ring is still shilling. What a waste of my time.

eBay is doing this to cover their behinds. Re: the Announcement Board, would eBay willingly admit to these incidents of fraud unless they felt it was in their own best interest?
I'd guess there is some federal investigation going on, or eBay expects one soon. Now they can say, "we have taken steps to warn and inform bidders about fraud."
You see, it's all done with smoke and mirrors. Kitsch is right, eBay does nothing unless forced to do so.

I've reported 2 shillers, eBay NARU'd the shill accounts in one case. In neither case did eBay take any action other than a warning against the seller.
One case was so 'red-handed'... the seller's PayPal link had the email address of one of his bidders! eBay issued a warning (supposedly), neither the seller or shiller were suspended.
