I just had an idea for a fantastic program that would be a surefire best seller on eBay and other venues, and that I have never seen offered before.
Now what do I do? I need to see if the thing is possible to do, if it has been done already, is it cost prohibitive, etc.
Some people have made millions with inventions...why not me?
Any serious suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

Check the various freeware sites (nonags.com and others) to see if something similar has already been developed.
