Just checked my new auctions and one that should have beginning price of 12.99 says
1,299.00 - WOW!!! Am absolutely certain that I put it in correctly. Now the system
won't let me change the price even though there are
no bids. So I have to end it and start over
and pay another listing fee -- I know it's
tiny, but they add up. And it's aggravating
to have to do it again. Anything I don't know here??? Please.

If you end your auction before someone bids, then it did not sell. After ending your auction go to the auction page and use the relist function. This will get you a refund of your listing fee if it sells with your corrected price.

Edited to add: You can use the relist within 30 days of the end of this auction. Maybe you should wait, you might get lucky and get the high price

I think in situations like this Ebay will refund the first (incorrect) listing fee. I would email them with the two auction numbers and explain and see what happens.

I did the exact same thing by accident. 3.99 became 34.99. I just left it up and by gummy I got the 34.99 bid. Was OK by me!
