I can't beleive I did this. A couple of days ago I gave a person a negative for the ususal and after an email from the guy I gave the negative I had realized I negged the WRONG PERSON. I had 2 auctions with the same item and gave the wrong one a negative. I emailed Ebay explaning the situation and their reponse was due to legal issues feedback cannot be changed. Now I have a guy upset which is sure to neg me (I don't blame him) and I'd like to make it correct. Any suggestions? Thanks.

the buyer needs to make a comment on the neg and then you can make a comment explaining your error. Not a great solution, but the only one I can think of. He'll still have the neg but if they look at it they'll know it was an error.

Have him go into the feedback and leave a response such as "Seller made a mistake giving this neg"...then you can go in and respond to his response with "Neg was meant for another user. XXX deserved a positive".
Won't get rid of the neg, but will neutralize it.
PS...no way I would give you a negative back if I were your buyer. Mistakes happen!

The twit at eBay that told you that is full of B.S. They will delete negs for various reasons, but you need to get hold of someone at SH with a brain larger then the size of a pin.
Tell your customer it was an honest mistake & that you'll get eBay to remove it, but it might take a few days.

If you really want it removed fast, tell the customer to respond with your RL name, then eBay will have no choice but to remove it.

Exactly as reddeer said--you need to write and let them know that you mistakenly left feedback on the wrong user. Before they will remove it, you will have to have posted the feedback to the correct recipient. Unfortunately, I don't believe you'll be able to leave the positive feedback for this buyer, though. When this question came up on the Ebay boards, the pinks responded that once feedback is left, that uses up the "one per transaction" limit, even if removed.
