I was wondering if anyone here knew anything about this pottery designer. I have a lamp very similar to the signed vases and bowls listed on ebay right now, but mine isn't signed. Does anyone know if he always signed his pieces? Is there any way to tell if this is genuine?
I've had this lamp for a while now and had never been able to find out anything about it until yesterday, when I stumbled across an auction for a vase that looks just like it. I did a search for his name and everything he did looks like my lamp.

Try checking at this site monkeysuit. Sorry I can't help with any useful info, but you might find a similar listing here or someone on the Chat Board who can help.

Thanks, AnnieJean! With all the uproar over Paypal I was worried that I'd be scrolled off the page before anyone had a chance to post to this thread.
I'll check out that site.

Hello Monkeysuit!
I sold a pot marked Vontury (one word) for about $35 two years ago. I also noticed one more vase on ebay about that time also. Hope this helps as I was not able to discover more at that time and just gambled!

Famous New Jersey artist. Very nice stuff, way underpriced on ebay. I'm sure as with any art glass or art porcelain/pottery that a piece can get missed as far as signing. I don't even know if he is still alive, I've only sold two pieces ever by him. They didnt do too too bad a couple years ago.
